The Academy are looking to recruit new potential players for the new Torquay United Development Centre gaining a fantastic opportunity in developing their football skills on and off the pitch with Torquay United Football Club Academy.
We are based at the 3G Astro Turf at Torquay Academy Secondary School, Cricketfield Road, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 7NU.
We train once a week for an hour and a half every Tuesday unless otherwise notified.
This format will allow us to monitor and develop the player on a weekly basis while still playing for their local club but also play under the banner of Torquay United Development Centre in arranged games against our Academy teams, other Professional Clubs and Development programs.
We have set up this Advanced Development Centre to mirror the Academy's own program and to monitor players progress with the overall aim of attaining the required standard required for a future trial and place at our professional Academy.
Due to the Development Centre being a non-profitable department there is a minimal cost to training of £30.00 per month paid by a STANDING ORDER, our details are ACCOUNT NUMBER 29195760 and SORT CODE 30-88-04. If you take this information to your Bank they will create this for you.
The costs are worked out over a 42 week period leaving a Two week break at Christmas and Easter, as well as a Three week Summer break and Two week allowance for illness etc. This cost covers Staff, Equipment, Venue hire, Physiotherapy and Administration etc.
Players within the Development Centre receive coaching from our F.A and UEFA qualified coaches working from a syllabus to ensure all topics and areas are covered to improve learning and develop players in all positions.
