Di Canio to Martin Ling? That would be the complete polar opposite managers. I really don't think he'd get on well there, the poor football would be all too quickly found out by the Swindon fans and they'll despise him.

Spot on Luke. Given Ling was held in high regard there as a player he would completely decimate all that by becoming their manager and turning them all into football zombies. Wouldn't be a good move IMO. I hope he gets fixed up with a job though as he wasn't a bad bloke just one dimensional.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

He'd be a fantastic manager for the San Marino national team.

Think that article loses all credibility by describing Ling as their former defender - somebody clearly needs to do a bit more research.

As aforementioned, the Swindon fans are an unforgiving bunch. They won't stick with Dinger if they go more than about 3 games without getting a few goals. Nor will they abide the continued use of ineffective players (one may be the cause of the other, but I'm not sure which is which). He'd be mad to go there. He needs to restart his managerial career with a clean slate. I'd suggest he went as far as leaving the country.
