Official Twitter says we have a Press conference today

It's only a couple of weeks since it was announced by the bonkers BBC that it has banned all it's journalists from using the term 'Press Conference'

At least it's good to know that the old traditional term is alive and well at Plainmoor, and we're having no truck with leftie inspired 'new-speak'.

I was rather hoping this wasn't it, but it may well be. Bloody shame if you ask me, calling in the Press to unveil two guys we've known about for a fortnight or longer. Oh well, as you were.

I thought we always hold a news conference on Thursdays? Regular thing isn't it? That's why any new quotes from the club appear on the bbc late Thursday.

Been away for a bit................can anyone enlighten me on news of a striker from France.

Pre-(Saturday)Match conferences are usually held on a Thursday but I think new signing conferences are generally held as and when required.

I cannot see this press conference been anything more than an update from Knill as to how pre season is going, how the players look? Settling in well?. A bit on Tonge and Benyon. That I think will sum it up.

Don't get me wrong if there's a quadruple signing I would be over the moon.

I think if any deals are finalised by announced Monday etc.

Any idea on the time of this press conference?

I too suspect it will be for Tonge and Benyon but have a faint hope there might be a brucie bonus in there as well??

No information as to a time in my possession, but it's got to be soon, it's almost half one now.

This would be what my money would be on being announced other than Benyon and Tonge. Can't really see any other reason to announce a press conference for something that we already know about.

I was thinking the same! I rarely here if any conference for signings, unless it's a big one (which is why we I rarely have!)

Wishful thinking I feel. Not getting my hopes up on this.
