A bit of Fun - get to Know your Fellow Board Members

I thought we could have a bit of fun over the weekend with no football on Saturday or Sunday – I’m just not sure I have posted this in the right section of the TUFC Boards.
I am not even an exile – having never lived in Torquay (another story) but I avidly read the boards daily – more of a stalker really – and I am always intrigued by other board members usernames or monikers.

I thought it might be interesting if fellow board members illuminated us as to why they chose their moniker and also what impression they have of other board members from their monikers.

I will start this off

I am known as SkyBlueGull – because I live near Coventry and from the age of 7 until I saw the (“yellow”) light some 25 years later I was a Coventry City Fan
As to other Board Members

Southampton Gull – rather boring but I assume because he lives in Southampton

Ferrarilover – because he loves Ferraris but I am intrigued to know whether he possesses one

DiamondGirl – I just think of a curvaceous Emma Bunton type with lots of diamond rings on her fingers.

Brucie – I’m sorry but I only have one image that of a Bruce Forsyth look- alike – you know with the catch phrase “Good Game - Good Game” in that nasal tone of his. The only trouble is I don’t know whether our Brucie has seen a “good game” – not since the Generation game went off air anyway!!

AustrianAndy Gull – I can’t help it – I just see this keyboard warrior dressed up in lederhosen (green velvet shorts. white socks and ruffled shirt), like something out of Sound of Music or a Beer Festival ( Sorry Andy)

RN Gull – Captain Birdseye

ExileGull – I assume that he lives abroad through work/personal circumstances and not because he has committed some heinous crime that requires him to be exiled from Plainmoor

ModGull – not sure whether it is because he is a moderator or dresses like a Mod (Quadrophenia)

There are some other obvious ones and some I just can’t fathom (tufc si, jonnyfive etc.)

I should add that this is just a bit of fun and I don’t want it to get personal and out of hand

Tony/Sky Blue Gull

I had the same impression about Austrian Andy before I met him!

Ha Gaz, you couldn't really GET less Austrian really. A dour northerner with a thick Yorkshire accent, a bit like theesen lad! I've got loads of Austrian football shirts and clothing and stuff and also a collection of Steins which i pick up from car boot sales which i could use to drink out of at the pub AND both arms tattooed in Austrian / Germanic paraphenalia but if i'd not worn the shirts, not drank out of the stein and worn a long sleeved jumper than you wouldn't be any the wiser!

Actually SBG this is a really good thread and it is true, you DO tend to form images of people from the forum in your head, i've actually SEEN Dave's image and it's pretty gruesome, Scott is a GSD and i've met Mattyferrari boy on a number of occasions so know exactly what HE looks like but i'm too kind to pass comment. :na:

I'll give this some thought before posting as my brain is taking a while to warm up tonight. I'm on the SKOL, 2.8% by volume! I'm ashamed but it's me getting back into it after illness. =D

Hahaha, Super's right, you are going to be VERY popular with Diamondgirl!

I like Dave (the missing comma is very important here), have had my username for so long that it's almost the only one I use anywhere. Sadly, not yet a member of the Owners Club, but have come close a couple of times (Hendrick's, stupidity and EBay don't mix well).

Matt.

This could be fun... and controversial. Guess other board members ages.

I'm not sure if I want to do this first so I will let someone braver do it.

Nice avatar, Andy.

You're off Matt. And I believe I am younger than you.

I'd say you're 24...

Andy will have to make do with being the stereotyped view of an Austrian in my head and be the age of that picture in my head, which is 52.

From Scott's picture I'd say he's 29, but lots more in dog years.
