I just tried this and what gives me a little hope is that a lot of the bottom teams play each other, so will obviously be taking points off each other. Saying that I tried to be realistic and give the odd team the occasional shock result that happens at this time of year, and despite giving us wins over Chesterfield, York & Barnet my bottom six finished as..

19th York 51pts
20th Accrington 51 pts
21st Barnet 48 pts
22nd Plymouth 47pts
23rd Torquay 47pts
24th Wimbledon 47 pts

Accrington and York both seem to have a lot of winnable games.

Our ten remaining games are:
Dagenham (A)
Southend (A)
Chesterfield (H)
York (H)
Northampton (A)
Bradford (H)
Gillingham (A)
Barnet (H)
Morecambe (A)
Bristol R (H)

I didn't include any draws...I just saw us losing most of the remaining games. A home defeat for Plymouth v Exeter would put them below us on my predictions but I just fancy Plymouth to win that one.

Our run in is not an easy one but then it is not stacked with promotion chasing teams either. If we could start playing well, then it is an achievable run of games. But on current form, I just do not see us picking up more than 9 points (and that is being generous)and that will not be enough.

i've out us to lose all our aways except a point tomor and at home, beat chesterfield, lose to bradford, get draws v york and barnet, leaving us to need a draw v the gas on the last day to be safe but also safe if aldershot york or accrington fail to win that day!! i think i've been very sensible about our results, but am banking on york and aldershot to plummet and argyle and stanley to lose more than they win

shots and york down on the last day, exeter sneak into last playoff spot, gills burton and chelts auto

Something must be wrong with my BBC Predictor. Every time I predict the results we come out last in the tables...

I've got us in 17th on 50 points, Plymouth and Accrington going down on 42 and 41 respectively. This only includes 2 wins for us (York and Barnet), even reducing these to draws puts us 19th on 46.

It all really depends on tomorrows result, if we keep up the fight shown on Tuesday, we probably will keep the flow going and scape safety. Most of the sides in the fight are used to being there so are and will be picking up unexpected points, The important thing is not to fall below the 'line' as we (attitude and all) will find recovery particually hard. Take each game at a time, a point tomorrow will keep our heads up and above the line....Remember, we still have that extra point i.e. better goal difference but the much needed win needs to come soon...COYY

We're two points ahead of my prediction. That would put Plymouth down on mine but then Wimbledon have done better than I predicted so far

Just had a go.

I`ve got us 19th on 50 points with Aldershot 45 and York 48 going down.

This is with wins Chesterfield (H) and Morecambe (A)
Draws York (H), Bradford (H), Barnet (H), Bristol Rovers (H)
Defeats Northampton (A), Gillingham (A).

Certainly looks like it will be close.

Beneath us I`ve got

Dagenham 50pts, Plymouth 49 pts.

got the chesterfield win as predicted, so we're still a point better off today than a thought we would be after the first 3 games

my forecast of york and aldershot to slip looks slightly more likely after their rivals all won their games in hand.

you'd imagine we would have the wind in our sails and a bounce in our step after last night, but i'd still be content with a draw against york, but would obv take the win instead
so if we're buzzing, imagine how stanley and argyle must feel!! i'd now fancy both of them to continue this form, but only in their home games?

off to have another go at it now

cheers

ps andy 5000 posts about cats, pah!! mine, altho short (no sniggering at the back!!) have almost all been in the plainmoor forum, for instance, i bet you couldnt tell me what sort of music i'm in to??
