...And you're one of the calmer posters on here! Agree entirely. Fluked a win at SJP, been awful in every game since. Rubbish.

I can only agree - anybody else (well pretty much anybody else) would have played Benners from the start, or at least brought him on at half time. As for dropping Craig - well if he wasn't injured then it is probably one of the WORST decision ever made since Bateson got Roberts to sign on the dotted line.

Out of his depth.

It's the board for not realising this. Taylor has simply been asked to take the helm and although he is doing a mindnumbingly spongebob and patrick-esque job of managing Torquay, he isn't totally to blame. Ling is to blame for sowing the seed of safety first football in each of our players and now, in his sad absence, Taylor is asked to pick up the pieces when he isn't in a position to do so and the rot has taken hold. Ok so if the board have been waiting to see if Taylor could do a job then fine, the answer is no so we need them to sort this sh*t out and get someone in asap who knows what they are doing. Any delays and they are playing russian roulette with our league status and that is unforgiveable.

What's incredibly frustrating, and I know about fans thinking they're managers, etc, but the fans can see the problems and silly decisions, why can't Taylor? I know the guy's been dropped in it, but for goodness sake, he's a football professional!!

An question that could be asked to Ling also divingboy.

Agree with what everyones said about Mr Taylor but has ever claimed to be a manager? he was the cheap option that has failed,, he can't be blamed for that. When hes agreed to work with someone and then that person isn't forthcomming from our directors (personally feel they lack directuon) then the results are not totally his fault.

The business with Benyon really bothers me. If he gets hacked off, he could be back at Southend within a few weeks.

I'll concede that Scott. I agree he has to take some degree of personal responsibility and he has had a real opportunity to take the bull by the horns and mix things around. He had nothing to lose as we were sh*t. If it were me i would have sent a team out fired up and willing to create chances and get forward. He has just sunk deeper and deeper into his shell and made some truly odd decisions. Overall though, i lay the blame at Lings door ( feel guilty as he is poorly but it is what i feel ) followed by the lax attitude of the board.

I don't think we should be too harsh on Taylor. He is not a manager, I agree. He probably out of his depth but he does not deserve some of the abuse he is getting on this site. The club put him in this position and they need to remedy it NOW by bringing a new manager.

We are in serious, serious trouble and probably one of the most likely to go down on current form and the dismal form was occurring before Taylor took over. Enough, is enough and that must be the last game he takes charge of but he was placed in a difficult position with limited powers, so it is unfair to castigate him too strongly.

Shouldn't be expressing an opinion like that, but should be acting on it!

That's just embarrassing .... for ALL parties concerned.

Yeah, no worries smiffy. Wasn't trying to beat Ling again with a big stick but just trying to explain that most of the apathy was brought about by him and Taylor is simply carrying it on showing that he has no strength of character.
