personally I don't see what he bring apart from leadership and energy. can't pass for s**t and lives off his purple patch last season.this season he hasn't done much at all. I prefer easton and Craig at centre mid. I appreciate nobody will agree but hey ho

Ok, so moving the fact that he is my favourite player to one side, are you saying that you didn't rate him before last season too?

no I didn't rate him as a right back
in all seriousness granted he is a great servant and leader but in terms of footballing talent he is mediocur. it showed in the games after southend he wasn't missed at all. its time to move on from the bsp promotion players soon.

Carefull. If you don't agree with everyone else on here you get slated every time you dare post.......
I'm with Scott on this one as most people will be!! Couldn't think of a better team captain at this club, absolute work horse, 110% committed every game and the players respect him which is of massive performance. I can sort of see where Ben is coming from though, he's no play-maker ala Craig or Eunan, but he's that dogged leader type I don't think we can be without!!
well each to there own but I personally don't rate him as high as others. some people are blinded by the armband

I'm not blinded by the armband!!
Personally, I think we need a guy like him in the team.
Each to their own though - doesn't bother me if you disagree with me or not.
Even if your opinion is wrong

Every team needs a Mansell.
No, he's not a fantastic 'ball-playing' midfielder but he is the work-horse for our midfield and his immense stamina would have helped win the ball for our side countless times.

Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...
3rd name on my teamsheet.
Wanted to say 1st, but then quickly remembered that nobody in our squad can BEGIN to play the roles of Poke and Howe.
Got to love Manse.

Manse has always got to be in the first eleven for me.
He's a leader on the pitch which is something the younger players need. He may not have had the best of seasons thus far, but that is when compared to last years incarnation.
He seems to get a lot of stick on twitter and I can't help but feel if the boys came offline for a couple of weeks the air of negativity might lift.

Agree. Manse has to be first on the team sheet. He had a great season, last year, which was made great by the amount of goals that he scored. He was never going to, in all honestly, be able to repeat that this time out. Apart from the goals, I dont think he is any different from last year. He's our natural skipper and, obviously, has bags of experience. Would not want to lose him.
