"the barlett bell will return"
it seems cabbage patch johnnie barlett, has secured a special dispensation from "those on high"
enabing him to once again, ring with gay abandon his most famous asset! the bartlett bell , but will be for 1 game only ( last home game of the season)
john states "its over 10 long years or more since i rang the beauty at a home game,
when ever i chat (or shout) to fans they always ask where`s the bell john?"
well it seems she`s on the way back!
what a great character old johnie is, & boy have nt we missed his bell!!!!!

The bloke is a racist and sexist. Had an unfortunate day where I ended up next to him one game, and my tongue now has permanent teeth marks as a result.

Granted, the bloke's nuts, but the bell, the drum and a popside in full voice could make for a cracking atmosphere at home to Crewe which may hopefully, see us on our way to promotion. Who knows.

Try standing near that moron for 90 mins, when he is ringing that bloody bell, and you might change your mind. The drum is one thing, the bell is a complete nightmare for anyone standing within 100 yards of it. I have had 3/4 games completly spoilt by having the idiot, with his bell, stand almost next to me on the popside. Plus. when I complained and asked, nicely, if he would mind not ringing it, I was treated to the full force of his very bad language and told that "A womans place is standing at the sink and doing the washing up, not supporting their team on the terraces"

It (The bell ) adds NOTHING to the atmosphere. It's just an ear piercing racket, with an utter racist/feminist/gob shi** moron on the end of it. I dont want to stop anyone doing what they want to support our team, but this, i'm afraid, brings nothing positive to the party

Sorry, but I hope that its not true that he has had permission to take the bell into Plainmoor. Already my excitement at the end of season run in has been upset. I hope the powers that be read this forum and take note.

I'm heading to the club now on unrelated business. I shall ask, if it's true, I'm not going.

Matt.
