Has anyone organised one ?

Is anyone going to organise one ?

Will anyone attend one organised ?

Will it be just a prematch meal with refreshment before, during and after ?

Where are the Christmas/New Year smilies ? :)

If you did it in Southampton yes, otherwise no

If you squint enough your smiley looks like Santa with a beard

The real question is, will Nickgull start a thread about it?

Matt.

Fair point forevertufc, I fully understand that, we use usernames for a variety of reasons. In my neighbourhoodie area you wouldn t want to advertise the fact you were out of the house for several hours.

Pre-match before the Rotherham game sounds ideal, I was thinking along the same lines, not forgetting the during and after match slurp. Ok for me, I live within walking distance of the house, so no drink/drive problem. Message for all year round : DON T DRINK DRIVE; walk or drink ride (bus/train/taxi/wife/girlfriend). Whether you re able to ride the wife/girlfriend later is your own private business. :O

Some of you from the forum know each other already. No problem. It s simple for me, I walk up to a group in Boots & Laces and say,"Are any of you members of TorquayFans.com?" The reply comes back,"Which dick are you?" I say,"The biggest one".Then go on to whip it out, give it a prod or two and up it comes : enter username and password. When confirmation is obtained you say,"Now Brucie doesn t post, yes you are." Then you all buy my drinks as the thoroughly good sports you are.

Wherever there s a craic I m in there sniffing, lapping it up. There was a better way of putting that, anyway swiftly on.

I was thinking a meal in town (Wetherspoons) or somewhere in Babbacombe with an 11.30am/12.00pm kick off. Bus from town to Plainmoor to arrive no later than 2.30pm or walk from Babbacombe to arrive no later than said time. Taxi(s) from Babbacombe if pouring down.

Reading the enthusiastic responses, I ll probably be the only one sat in Hanburys. If on the said day someone in Boots & Laces says,"There s a stink of fish in here !" That ll be me, Trojan 67 with a half-eaten codpiece in the pocket. :O

These are ideas/suggestions. Any other ideas/suggestions are welcome and I suppose no more than 5-10 posters would be up for it. :-D

A few of us gather together from time to time in Boots & Laces, but as Dave (Forever) says, a lot seem to prefer to retain their anonymity which is fine. Apart from the time we had a charity game versus the Exewebbers, I think the most I've seen all together was around 10 at the beginning of this season.

I can't make next weekend due to work but I'm always up for meeting members of this forum when I'm down there for a game, the other lot are just members full stop ;-) . It's always nice to put a face to the name, unless it's that fat bloke from Barnsley

Never mind, there'll be another time for a slurp before now and end of the season.

The fat bloke from Barnsley. Which one ?

When you say "just members full stop" does that mean apart from the fat bloke (your words not mine) the other members are not professional social drinkers ? :)

Hee hee, this made me laugh.
I'd love to have a good party but don't know yet if I'm working, so can't put down a deposit (this is very funny to me at the moment in my tiddly state) till I know. No snub to your thread/good idea intended Mr Trojan.

  Thats two red faces in one day.

At best it looks like an informal meal/pre-match drink next week on the 18th before the Rotherham game.

Oh no!!! I'd better seek out the other one...what have I said :) <no more lunchtime Magners smilie>

Am up for drinks and Twiglets on Boxing Day (work permitting) or will most likely be at the Oxford game on 3rd...who's about then? Think some members (can we find an alternative noun here?) will find this a bit clique-y, but I'll talk to anyone and am completely unlike my keyboard persona... :O

That's good news Jane, surely no-one could be that dumb in real life? :)
