you swine andy, i wanted to start last nights thread as i had 'got the vibes' again, and i'm definately feeling them for saturday too, so my 4/4 record is now on the line!!
i dont possess either the time or the mental capacity to do the excellent info packed threads that eventually find their way into each match day topic, but i just wanted to get in there first!!
the bookies are making us favourites but at 11/8 for an away win i think they are giving us money this time around, 2/1 last night was a mistake too, i had a few small bets on that and a clean sheet but not enough to retire on!!
for the more cautious amongst us the draw is 12/5 and its 15/8 against the home win.
a 0-1 score brings odds of 7/1, the clean sheet is is 9/4
looking forward to seeing the first book on the swindon game!!
anyway, fingers crossed that my run continues and the gulls take another impressive away win back to devon on saturday night
i'll be there again, nice to get to consecutive games for once!!
onwards and upwards!

I'll be there as well, it'll be my 2nd visit to Burton. My first was last year when we drew 3-3 and Stanley put the ball in the net at the last second but the ref already blew his whistle to end the game. I'll be at the back in full voice, with my phone videoing the Yellow Army as usual!
Can't wait, would love another 3 points! COYY!

Jesus Bix, a Burton matchday thread?! Most Gulls have only just got home from Sheffield never mind considering the complexities of a visit to the Pirelli already! You just wanted to get the thread up before me ya big babby! :na:
This game could be a banana skin but i,ve said that about a few already and been wrong. Burton are in freefall at the minute after having a purple patch earlier on in the season thanks in part to ex Gull and food lover Billy 'eatsforthree' Kee. Don't know if Billy will be playing on saturday, he has been out of the team i presume through injury but can't be sure. Burton for me is a 45 minutes or so drive down past Derby and i've never experienced any problems there, apart from having to negotiate my way through a massive gaggle of diseased chavs who were blocking the entrance of the co-op across the road. I only wanted a f*****g bag of maltesers! Not worth it.
I like the terrace on the away end as it's very spacious, especially if you've got a massive belly and a fat arse, which i haven't but i imagine many fans of well supported clubs like Bradford HAVE. I've been to Burton twice, the past two seasons and we won 2-1 i think first time Benners and Rendell and last season was the 3-3 cracker. I think on saturday we will have a tough game but going on all known form and the way the confidence is with the lads at the moment i just cannot see anything other then a Gulls win. It will probably be 1-0 again but i'll go for 5-1. I'll be there anyway.

How many do you think we'll have here? 300/400?

I think we could fetch well over the 400 mark Nick especially as we are doing well. Last season there were about 500 there for a bank holiday monday so can't see any reason why we won't get around 4-500.

Kee is injured for the rest of the season.
Looking forward to this one a mixed record at the pirelli from memory weve lost twice won twice and drawn once up there (?) expecting a tough game they'll be trying to end there bad form and we'll be doing our best to push on and pull away from the teams below us.
Take it we'll all be heading to the Beach Inn (I think its called that) before the game? Will be there with a couple of mates and a Couple Burton fans I know aswell.

Flippin eck. I never thought to going to Burton to go to the Beach, Will remember to bring my dechair with me if I go this time.
I liked The Pirrelli Stadium. They have thought to provide decent facitlies for away fans and I thought that the terrace offered a decent view with plenty of room for everyone. The food bar outside and at the back may well be a bit of a bitch to use when the weather is rough but again a decent facility for all that.. Parking is a bit awkward if there is a large away following. as it's not always easy to get into the industrial estate opposite and their own car park is home fans only from what I can remember. and fills fast anyway.
At least they looked to have built withing their own budget unlike the plastic club up in Rushden. good facilities but an atmostphere that reminded me of a funeral parlour.
Still I remember that match up there years ago when a Gulls favourite Chris Brandon played one of his finest games. Although if I remember right we lost that game. or it may have been the year before where we drew.
Will not be able to make a decision on this game untill later on but if anyone wants to make a car load up i will be interested. Just PM me.

As Austrian Andy says, this is a potential banana skin where the Gulls could slip up if they under-estimate Burton by going into the game with anything less than a focussed determined attitude.
Burton have not won a game since Boxing Day. Their last three results have been 0-2 Cheltenham (A), 0-2 Swindon (A), and 0-2 Southend (H). Their last point was 1-1 (H) against Rotherham four games ago. If they had been playing lesser teams they may well have achieved a result or two. They have been conceding an average two goals a game and are definitely missing the injured Billy Kee.
I suspect Burton will now be dangerous and determined to begin picking up points again. The Gulls will need to be at their best. But I'm sure Martin Ling will be aware of this and will ensure the team approaches the game properly prepared. A banana skin, but I can't see us doing any worse than their previous opponents.
Burton 0 Torquay 2 .

I didn't know that Burton hadn't won since Boxing Day Gullscorer, cheers for that. That really is a bad run and you could argue that there is more pressure on them than us given that stat. I,ve been saying since Christmas that someone is gonna get a good hiding from us before the season is out and i've got a feeling it will come on saturday. A day where everything clicks and we bury 4 or 5. Certainly put us in the frame of mind for the Swindon game. I feel a win on saturday is vital actually as we'll have more points on the board and go into to the Swindon game knowing that a defeat will not be too detrimental to our promotion push. The pressure will be off at the County Ground so we may even play better on the night.
As for parking GG. I've been the last two seasons and been allowed to park in the club car park as an away fan so i would presume this will be the case on saturday too. There is a charge obviously but forgot how much and there aren't too many spaces so get there earlyish.

Last season we parked for free in the pub about 600 yards down the road from the ground (and sampled their beers of course), hoping to do the same again this year but the 'Tache is working in Sheffield until 1 O'Clock so time might be tight, may just be a slurp inside the ground.

The pub is The BEECH Hotel as in the tree rather than a sandy area on the coast, parked for free there last season, nice pint too.

Yep, this is going to be a hard game despite Burton current form, seem to remember us going there last season thinking all we had to do was turn up, and nearly got our fingers burnt.
Keep doing what we have been doing all season, hopefully bag 3 points, then if the team was to slip up against Swindon not to much damage done as they would have earn't a slip up.If you know what I mean.

Just rang Burton and it's £14 standing and the car park is £2. The train station is only a 10 minute straight walk away too apparently so i might go on the train if i don't have to change.
