That is an area i'm pretty sure all TUFC fans will agree that Buckle was somewhat lacking. Of course we can find examples of where Buckle got it right, but there are a hell of a lot more where he didn't, and i'm more than happy with the way Ling has started. Long may it continue.
Yep that is what i was trying to say, any chance of some English lessons Brady, think i need some

And don't forget that it's simply not possible to get the preparation and tactics right at the start of every game. A manager cannot know for certain what tactics and team his opposite number will bring to a game, and he can be as well prepared as it's possible to be, but injuries and changes in the opposing team's selection (not to mention the grass being too long and dry!) will mean that the plan A tactics will need to be changed during a game. So it's great to know that Martin Ling knows his job.

I feel the main difference is that Buckle stuck with what he first planned as he didnt want to change his own tactics to make it look like he got it wrong first time around. Where as Ling is not scared to change something to try get the best results possible.

Buckle did stick to a same formation during a game just swap players about, where as ling has changed a system to try make things better. Doesnt always work and could back fire but nice to see hes giving things a try.

What's gonna happen is, we are going to come out from the dressing room and fire on all cylinders for 90 mins and some, against a crap/mediocre side and still not get the required result.

It happens, it's football.

This will be the time to compare the after match "honesty" difference in the summary between the current manager and the previous one.

No need to say sorry Nick, your excellent matchday threads exempt you from apology.

As forevertufc says, let the original run and run and run past a thousand. :-D

13 minutes. A few more than 10, but a couple short of a full quarter hour.

It looks like I'll have to keep clicking on to the thread then to get it back to it's original number of views.

In his short time here, it appears Dinger Ling has outlived his nickname.

Due to his ability to go from plan A to any other plan during a game and thus thwart the opposition, maybe he should be nicknamed Stinger Ling.

After being 0-2 up and then being 1-3 up, Rotherham were definitely deflated leaving Plainmoor with a 3-3.
