Was delighted to read this today about JH wanting to be considered should the Wales job become vacant...

After so much sad/bad news in the football world recently, how great to see somebody recovering so well, when the outlook had been so bleak.

They have appointed the U17,U19 and U21 boss(Brian Flynn) to be their caretaker manger throughout the euro qualifiers-

Shame he wasn't made assistant manager at least.

Why is it a shame, though? Hartson has no experience of management at all. I'm not sure why ex-players seem to assume they can just step into coaching/management gigs, especially international one. It's interesting that he has his Pro license, but it seems that it would be purely a sentimental decision to install him more than a footballing one.

He should start at a league club and get some experience. he doesn't even have to do that great, you can be sure he'll be considered for 'bigger' jobs anyway, later on.

...perhaps yellow4life doesn't like the Welsh...? :)

disclaimer: to any Welsh chums, this was a frivolous statement and not intended to cause disharmony and/or offence ;-)
