Just heard of the passing of John Benson. Very sad as I remember John playing in the same 60s team at Plainmoor as Robin Stubbs, Billy Kitchener, Micky Cave etc. Class act and a great manager later on. RIP John and thanks for the memories.

I remember John as a player in teams who played against my team (Walsall) in the late 6o's / early 70's.

A fine player and coach/manager later in his career. R.I.P.
