Presume Ricky Aguiar has gone/is going back at the end of his months loan.
Wonder if Crole is still here ?

Just seen the interview with Lewis on the OS. Clearly very excited with his loan move and sounds a confident lad who could be a perfect striker for the Club at this stage of the season with 2 games a week throughout February.

Good luck Lewis.

In his interview he gave me the impression he has left Newport for good, so much so I had to check that it was actually a loan move.
I wonder whether his contract expires at the end of this season and he's gone off to put himself in the shop window for a summer move.
Maybe GJ is looking at this as a permanent signing for us

His contract does indeed expire in the summer, I hope he can do something for us but he has hardly been prolific to date for County.

Expiring contract means he'll at least be properly motivated. Not too worried about previous scoring record (Jarvis had 8 goals in 5 and a half years prior to us!).

always an issue in that if he does *really* well, he'll get a move to a league club next season, but I guess this is the ocean we're swimming in for transfers right now.

Indeed looks super excited to be here. Those welcome interviews are normally a bit naff and you get the sense most are reading from a script but this lad seems different. Seemed enthusiastic to win the Torquay United “Welsh quiz” against the slightly grumpy Kieran Evans and seems chuffed to be modelling the bobble hats too! Can’t ask for much else……well maybe a goal or three.

Has Crole returned to Cardiff?
