Pre-Match meal.

With things looking up on the field, we just need an improvement in the quality and standard of the restaurant.

We use to eat there before EVERY home match. There was a large core of regulars, who were treated to an excellent carvery, provided by Nina. It really could not be faulted or beaten at £15 per head.

Since then several people with little or no knowledge of hospitality or management have run the operation, including a "manager", who looked like he eat more than he sold and employed his son as the chef!

In these COVID times, the carvery has been ditched (although freely available locally) in favour of a sub standard meal at an inflated cost of £30, or £25 for season ticket holders. This week's offering is
Soup, Pasta followed by Toffee Apple Pie. Not my idea of a popular choice. Sainsbury's serve the same at a fraction of the price. A pretty pathetic offering, which shouts out "We only want to serve easy meals and do not want to put in too much effort".

Boxing Day, a couple of Box holders braved the Festive meal.....the offering was Pheasant! It was not very appealing, unsurprisingly they will not be returning anytime soon.

Hanburys fish and chips are more suitable and enjoyable, at a third of the cost. They are absolutely gorgeous.

I would return to the restaurant if it offered what supporters want at a realistic price. The facilities are good but a professional caring manager is crucial to the operation, if it is to be successful.

Can we have our carvery back please at a sensible price. Does everyone want three courses, we use to have the option of one, two, or three.

I suggest starter £5, carvery £20, sweet £5.

From the Clubs point of view I hope George Edwards is reading the above post.

I guess he will soon know because when the product is wrong the people vote with their feet, walk away, and the till tells the story.

Sounds like action needed but the problem may well be the Club cannot find the right staff at this time. If this is the case they are not alone.
