Half Term Report

As we look forward to Saturday and Dagenham at Plainmoor we reach the half way point in the season with 22 games played and 22 to come by May 15th when we visit Southend. I wonder could it be another very famous Match?
Our Home record is 6 wins and 4 defeats 3 of which were our first 3 games at Plainmoor when we conceded 10 goals and scored just 3. It shows what a fantastic turn round we have had at Home since that awful start . We have scored 16 and conceded 5 in 7 games.
Away from home we have played 12 winning 3, drawing 3 and losing 6. 3 of the losses were by one goal. 15 for and 20 against. Only 5 Clubs have scored more than United.
I suggest the 3 standout players to date have been Armani Little with 10 goals and lots of assists,Joe Lewis who is Mr Reliable and Dean Moxey who is just different class in this League.
The player to make the most improvement is undoubtedly Dan Martin who has found his form in the last few games proving he will be a valuable player in the second half of the season. I also think it is fair to say that Shaun MacDonald on his return to the Club has matured as a Goalkeeper and we all feel good about that as he is a popular lad.
Will do better? Well I have a feeling that Chiori Johnson and Keelan O'Connell will surprise a few fans as they play more and get to grips with what Gary wants and expects from his players.
Top Pros. Ben Wynter, The Lemon, Asa Hall and Danny Wright. The sort of players every Manager wants and the fans enjoy watching.
The biggest puzzle? No doubt here. Klaidi Lolos. Ryan Lowe was not sure about releasing him and he does have huge potential because he is unusual and his close control and trickery is great to watch but the issue is he needs to put more end product into his game. I hope that's fair comment.
Favourite Player. Well its the pocket battleship that is Tom Lapslie. He is like the duracell battery he never stops running. One moment he is clearing off the line the next moment he is up the other end example Chesterfield away and Wealdstone at Home.Short legs but big heart.
I may have missed a few out but I am feeling more hopeful for the second half after 4 wins in 5 games.COYY
