I'd have thought the drainage would be at its best given recent dry weather and limited use. Certainly hope so anyway.

First things first it's fantastic to be back playi8ng league games again, although huge disappointment in not be able to attend, as I'm posh with my 500mb virgin broadband ( :na: ) will be parting with £9 gladly to watch the game.

As for the pitch and the weather, do some really have a genuine concern about the pitch needing an inspection, words fail me, us country bumpkins down here in the South West are often referred as a bit 'slow' and we're really good at proving it from time to time.

The pitch hasn't hosted a game since March, it's had further work done on the drainage during the summer, we've just come off the back of a long, hot and dry summer, with little or no rain, it has rained over the last two days, but, by and large been on the light side, not heavy or torrential, so no the pitch will not need an inspection, yes the game will be on.

Forgive me, been in hibernation, however, those games were played during the continued dry spell and would not have cut up the top surface of the pitch. Not aimed at you, but I'll put it straight, if this game was called off today with all factors considered our club would need to resign from the league with immediate effect, the bad weather hasn't started yet, we'd not get a game on, if the pitch wasn't playable today, some need to stop being so pathetic.

When watching the pre season friendlies on my PC and also tried LG TV I could not get full screen picture like a usually get on BT Sport by hovering over bottom right corner.
Is this a TUFC streaming problem / limit or am i missing something?.
Thanks Jim
Does it let you right click and then click fill screen mode?

Everyone is at different stages of being tech savvy. Google, sometimes, can be your friend. Type the question in and see what appears. If your ordinary big screen TV has an HDMI socket and likewise with the laptop then the viewing experience becomes x times bigger/better depending on how big the cinema screen is on the wall. Probably too late now to nip out and get a 5 metre HDMI lead.

Ahead of the opening National League match of the season against Stockport County this afternoon, manager Gary Johnson has bolstered his squad with three new signings.
As if things weren’t exciting enough ahead of the big kick-off today, Torquay United AFC are delighted to confirm the one-month loan signings of Bournemouth’s Sam Sherring, Plymouth Argyle’s Adam Randell and Bristol City’s Louis Britton.

Having risen through the ranks at the Cherries, defender Sherring, 20, also enjoyed a highly impressive spell at Weymouth in 2018/19, making 37 league and cup appearances as The Terras were crowned champions of the Southern League.

Midfielder Randell, also 20 years old, was a regular member of Argyle’s squad last season, making 8 appearances in all competitions as Ryan Lowe’s Pilgrims secured an instant return to League One.

The third addition, Britton, is a 19-year old forward who has already shown his potential during productive loan spells at Yate Town and Bath City. Only last week, he further enhanced his reputation with a hat-trick for City’s U23-side in their 3-1 win over Swansea City.

We’ll be bringing you more from United’s new additions over the course of the next few days.
