Torquay Utd players retained list shortly to be released

Post by MBoro2Torquay2k18 »

What are your thought guys??

Torquay United are going to be releasing their players retained list by this Sat May 2nd

1)Which Torquay Utd players would you like to keep?

2}Who would you be prepared to release & let go?

3)In the present climate which of our players can we now not afford to renew their contract with hence will most likely "fly" the nest(gulls)?

4)I'm sure that they will be many decent new players that are a bargain in the market place that we could/should buy
Any ideas?

5)Which players would you love to see playing for Torquay that we could afford?

Sorry to lose Jamie Reid of course. Relieved to see we've hung onto Ben Whitfield.

I'm surprised that Gary has not taken the chance to release a few more Players - under present disruptions, there might be plenty of chances to bring in improved signings in the next few months and now there'll be little space left in the squad.

Good Luck to Jamie, Kalvin and I'm sorry to see Jared Lewington go, I feel Jared could have been given more chances. Someone I talk to on another Forum, used to manage the young Reid and Lewington in the same squad, and he reckoned that Jared was by far the more talented of the two. Good luck Jared.

Who knows when the Leagues will start again ?

Has Nemane agreed a new contract?

I didn't hear him mentioned by GJ in his interview, and I thought he listed 12 not 13 retained (subject to actually signing).

Now that Kalala has gone, Nemane could be a useful addition, though.

He mentioned Nemane right at the end of the interview. He had trouble remembering everyone :)

Solihull Moors seem to have released their whole squad. Would happily take Darren Carter, Nathan Blissett and Lee Vaughan on. Never seen a player scare a whole team like Vaughan did to our lads at the start of the season.

Moors still have nine players still under contract and offered new deals to four out of contract players giving a total of 13 players which obviously means they will be looking to add to that number. Sixteen players have been released.

A sign of things to come:

Scunthorpe United's mass exodus with all 11 out-of-contract first team players not being offered new deals , forced by the financial implications of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which is driving big changes to their playing budgets.
