He’s already said he doesn’t want to manage.

He knows how football clubs work, he has contacts across the country in different divisions, he knows how to go about creating a United and successful way of doing things throughout a football club. He turned our club around in a short time and saved us from certain relegation, he’s fairly local and has been made to feel welcome here by all accounts.

I’d assume he may step in to manage on a temporary basis, if our first manager was unsuccessful, and we look for another, but that would be it.

Any club in our position would welcome him with open arms.

I don't know what Warnock role will be, even if it's the case he'll have one.

But let's look at it from perhaps a common sense point of view, professional football management is often a 7 day a week role, on/off field, can anyone really think the 75 year old Warnock would even be remotely interested in that.

Even a lowly qualified amateur manager knows not to interfere with another coach /manager, a professional of Warnocks stature isn't going to do that, unless asked to do so.

And lastly, we're looking at a man who's managed at every level of the game, has more than an extensive contacts list, knows how to run a football club, if anyone can't see what he can bring to the club as a, say 2 day a week advisor gord help us.

Cast our minds back to a play off semi v Exeter when Tisdale rang Perryman 3.1 down, 20 minutes later our hearts were broken, that's the sort thing Warnock can bring.

Read the interview with michael westcott several times on devon live, he indicates their are six members of the consortium but only names five, perhaps warnock if the the sixth, too old for a day to day managers role, agreed, but as an upaid director of football what he could bring to the table would be huge, especially offering advice and knowledge to a young upcoming manager, his contact list would be huge.
Hopefully bar the small print the Bryn group has done the hard part and saved our club, now its down to us as fans to get behind them.

Did anyone listen to Radio Devon who interviewed Michael Westcott at 2pm today? My take

Debts owed a six figure sum.

Sitting with the TUST Monday to allow supporters to acquire a share of the club.

Neil Warnock on the board as the football advisor.

National league believe Torquay will have the highest playing budget in the national league south.

Not decided on full or part time as yet.

Close to appointing a new manager possibly by tuesday.

Very encouraging and to me he appears to be a sound man :scarf:

I don't think anyone could have foreseen a better outcome than what we have, it's not just to good to be true. It's better than that. These people have done amazing work.

Are you trying a wind up? Who do you think TUST are?

They happen to be a sizeable chunk of fans. No more no less. If you don't trust the fans who do you trust?

Pointless negativity. Get on board you fool.
Get behind the club. This really feels like a great new start for the club.

OMG, what a stupid comment! The TUST are a “supporters” organisation, made up of long standing fans of the club. They are open to anyone who wants to put themselves forward and join. So “bringbackthecowshed” if you want to put yourself forward as a representative - then why don’t you???? Of course, the reality is that YOU will have to give up a heck of a lot of your free time to commit to a lot of no doubt boring meetings on a regular basis and at the same time have to put up with a load of s**t from people like you on social media who sit on their keyboards and moan about people who are really trying to make a difference for OUR football club …. the alternative is of course, to just sit on your arse and moan …. so, if you ain’t happy with how YOUR supporters trust is being run then why not put yourself up for election to a role on the board, they are always looking for people who are willing to give up lots of their time for NO REWARD. Hopefully you feel you can indeed play a part rather than pathetic attempts at criticising people who do - but like a lot of people these days, I guess you might prefer to sit on your arse and do nothing but just criticise others that ARE genuinely trying to SAVE our club
