Everton have also spent about £90m on players in the last close season, and have averaged a manager every 12 months or so in the past 5 years. That's unsustainable.

After looking like they were getting dragged into it Aldershot seem to be hitting some form. Oldham are winning too, but to be honest I’ve recently been looking at the teams above them as the ones we need to catch.

Wins for Oldham & Aldershot tonight.
Defeats for Gateshead & Maidstone.
There’s a five point gap above the bottom four now.

Very true. It looks as if we have to overtake Gateshead and catch one of Yeovil, Oldham, Maidenhead or Dorking. The last two of these have more points but have played more games and are showing poor form.Admiral wrote: 24 Jan 2023, 20:30 After looking like they were getting dragged into it Aldershot seem to be hitting some form. Hopefully will help some realise the dire position we are inDevonBee wrote: 24 Jan 2023, 21:59 A very bleak looking table this evening, time for the boys to step it up.......starting tomorrow
Yes it's now or never - we can't let that gap grow any more. Time for back to back wins.

Sadly, our task is getting harder by the day. Other clubs have acted. Some have picked up points and look to be turning things around.

As good as Woking are this season (and fair play to them!), they are Woking, not Man City. Refuse to think we go there with no hope and might as well not bother. COYY

I agree with your comments, but a great example of how to recruit in this league on a limited budget. Strong, quick, and young players who play a direct style.jono_Gull209 wrote: 25 Jan 2023, 09:58 As good as Woking are this season (and fair play to them!), they are Woking, not Man City.
