PERCEPTION AND REALITY

I've just looked at the TUST website.
Unless I've missed something, I've seen no details of who runs TUST, how its working as a democratic organisation, election of committee/officers, meetings, events, money-raising activities, latest TUST news or feedback, or any basic transparency.
They want your money and donations for the stated cause, fair enough, and they've published basic 'information' and rules (according to which, it's a Society not a Trust, so should be TUSS), but otherwise it remains a mystery organisation.

The site actually looks dormant. This isn't helped by the lack of any news on the site or the current date. No actual indication that TUST is actually active.

TUST members are getting regular e mail updates on all their current & fairly regular meetings with the Board, plus the occasional 'opinion' on Club matters. A monthly lottery raising funds is operational also. I never look at the website, I just check my e mails. Definitely operational !

Following on from taxilady, the TUST board are democratically elected by the members and there is an annual AGM. I don't think I've looked at the website much since joining as I receive all the info through regular emails. Unless there is a member with the necessary IT know how, updating the web site as regularly as the emails are sent out would sap funds.
Join TUST, dream in yellow.

As if by magic an email arrived from TUST today saying that the website is being revamped!
"We are in the process of refreshing the website to act as a shop window to TUST. The process of joining will be the same and our communications via email will continue."
