It's lovely and sunny at the moment, unfortunately, it's turning much worse again and tomorrow morning. I'd say that it is still more likely to be called off.

That is some sentence.

For peats pity sake, no one, but no one, but no one is blaming the club, full stop amen. Try reading what some are actually saying not what you think they're saying, it sadly seems so difficult for some to comprehend, also try going about 0.5 mile from Newton Abbot towards Kingstiegnton , Wednesday Teigngrace was cut off , houses , farms the works. We all feel sympathy for those effected across the entire country by the recent weather ( a personal friend of mine has lost his home) But this isn't a political forum, it's about TUFC .

Matt, some years ago, I decided to extend the home I owned at that time, had plans drawn up, and then called the local planning department, asked if they come along and advise me accordingly so the final plans submitted were correct first time, I was advised there were some issues that would have an adverse knock one effect and the plans would need changing, the point to that is simple. I can 100 % guarantee now, that our club sat down with those who designed and built the Bench and covered all bases including drainage, that's why I say it's 'not' the fault of the club, it may not the fault of anyone, as the designers and builders may have thought they had all bases covered.

On spotlight last night, they said this was the worst prolonged rain in 248 years, everyone gets that, but you always seem to say when talking about the weather 'South Devon' ignoring East, west and North Devon, as well as Cornwall and Somerset who have also been effected by the same weather.

No one can argue the fact there is a problem with the pitch the club have admitted it them selves, no one can argue that Exeter got their game on the same day ours v Burton was called off, can't argue last weekend there were games on at Loddiswell, Upton, Kingsteignton, Kingskerswell/Chelston and Sundy there was a youth game on at Newton Spurs, some of these clubs own their grounds, don't have the staff, equipment or even the budget that Tufc have, and played.

Again no one is blaming the club, just frustrating we've had games cancelled that would have been on, if not for a problem, that exists by the admission of the club.

What has people suffering with flooding got to do with Torquay being unable to get any of their home games on.
Yes the weather is terrible blah blah blah, we all know that.
Its actually a lovely dry day here today. It will rain tonight - Torquays game will be called off tomorrow morning. Other games in the region both locally and professionally will be on.
If anyone cannot see that this is an issue with our pitch (whoevers fault it is,if indeed if anyones) then they are in denial.
The main fault with this shambles is the league rules which apparently decree that Bury have to travel half the length of the country and we have to foot the bill.
No doubt some Bury fans will make the journey tomorrow, when we all know full well that there won't be a game to watch. That is a disgrace.

It's a ridiculous situation which costs us money in Bury's expenses.

There is precedent for calling games off in advance, Charlton have done it twice this season!

that to be fair is a good point brucie lets just hope torquay do call this game off early so to avoid the need for the bury fans to travel so far down as you say this game will not beat the weather

Quite honestly it would surprise me if the game was on.

I don't know what more the club can do. We don't have the best pitch in the first place and at least the groundsman has spoken out about the difficulties of getting a game on with broken pipes etc.

One of the local clubs near me has had their pitch, changing rooms and clubhouse flooded. The pitch right now resembles a lake rather than a football pitch. It could be a lot worse.

If the game is off tomorrow so be it. I just hope common sense probably and we call it off in good time if the pitch has no chance of being playable
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

If Buckle had been still here, I wonder if he would still have had the ground staff water the pitch prior to the game tomorrow.
