As soon as you saw the back four you knew we would let in a few, (why cant we loan an experienced mid thirties centre back on his way down the leagues )but doesn't excuse the performance . Pathetic, no threat whatsoever, 3 or 4 shots that I would have saved. Finn didnt look interested , may as well go back to Plymouth. Robertson did far more when he came , I would start him every game now he is fit, shows real intent but no-one attacks his crosses, they just stand and wait. I'm afraid Westendorf just hasnt got it.
Totally uninspiring performance , we never looked like scoring.
I wonder what the great man who has such a high opinion of himself will say about that.

Employ a first team coach with relegation form……. Guess what?

Players arent good enough, manager also not good enough so definitely no promotion.

If we change manager i guess we could secure a mid table finish, as at the moment conceding so much worried about relegation

Well 10 games done and it's usually a good pointer as to where we are going. Mid table obscurity sounds about right. Not impressed with Ball.He has had 10 games plus 8 pre season and 2 cup games. 20 games in all to sort it. It's been a very poor start for him. The players he has brought to the club to replace the quality of last year are generally poor. I think even the keepers are worse. We look a mess from back to front. Westendorf is never going to score goals as he doesn't shoot. The manager needs to turn it around quickly starting in the FA cup. We can't afford to go out early again. He needs to deliver.

THIS ISN’T WORKING

Our own commentary team, never known for anything than being totally partisan stated at various times, we havent laid a glove of them, we havent turned up,players being played out of position, our x feed said we slipped to defeat, no we sleep walked to defeat, I still am on the fence with Ball but his constant tinkering with the eleven, I cannot recall the same team starting two games in a row this season, we have some money in the kitty but he goes after a southern league player on the back of a single peformance in a pre season friendly and a young lad struggling to make the grade and cannot even make the notts county squad.we are crying out for experience and maturity not youth and those in balls eye who may make the grade at some stage in the future.

I think Jimmy Ball may have overlooked this is Men's Football and you need experience and knowledge of the level to succeed.

Maybe I am being super critical but the average age of the starters today was 24 with 5 players aged 18 to 22.

Only Worthington and Bernard have real experience and I am sorry but I never feel Worthington really cares and he is not a leader on the pitch.

We had only 2 players start from last season Worthington and Sonny Blu.

I am really concerned and I so want Jimmy to succeed but todays team selection was asking for trouble.

I really like Jimmy Ball, I want to see him succeed and do well here BUT something is really wrong and it's hard to see anything changing. The signings seem mediocre and in his last few interviews he's not presenting the stature of a successful manager.

It really pains me to say it but if he stays we can expect more of the same for the rest of the season.

I could say a lot more but it's pointless when there appears to be no cause for optimism.

Unfortunately despite high hopes pre-season, it's rapidly becoming evident that the quality of this seasons team is currently below the quality of last seasons squad, and witnessing some of our top players leave due to what is effectively amounts to "personal differences" is a disappointment

Recruitment has been iffy and our half decent centre back pairing has obviously been obliterated. The latter isn’t Jimmys fault but the former is. Having said that, the budget didn’t go up if I recall from the Chairman’s presentation so you’re going to get similar players.

Losing Young and Dreyer to fairly mediocre National League Clubs was very disappointing. Whether we got a decent fee for either of them is open to speculation. The club hasn't given us that information, but bringing in players from the likes of Plymouth Parkway and loanees, suggests that we didn't. The players on loan from Plymouth have been brilliant, but they aren't our assets and will probably only be here for the short term. I was delighted when Moore re-signed but, despite his work rate, he hasn't shown that he will be a lethal finisher at this level. Like others, I'm beginning to lose faith in Jimmy Ball's decision making but also in the overall management. With the revenue generated from the biggest support in the league, we really should not be mid-table and being thrashed by a newly promoted part-time team.

Ball said last season that when he took over he didn’t change much from wottons reign apart from bringing a st in, he sold us a dream about building his side and they look miles below last years as you’ve said
