I'm hoping that all is well, not because I've been optimistic in the face of lots of negativity, but because I really want our club to pull through and go on to bigger and better things with a bright future, with forward thinking owners.
Also, because I want to be smug and say I told you so
(That last bit may not be true)

That's what we all want Scott, I am a person that always looks for the positive side in every thing, I've been negative about all things TUFC for some time which goes against the grain for me, all I'll say (opinion) at the moment regards a takeover do not gets your hopes to high, the club will have to end up in new ownership, it may well not be the white knights everyone's hoping for, it may, or may not be the current board, who do not have the money to cover any losses.
It's all very well some saying we're debt free, we have no commitments, the club does, it will have tax liabilities pay, utilities to pay, some rents ( Seale Hayne/PCC) ground maintenance, it can't control number of postponements, so whilst reduced budgets are trying to live with in our means will help, it wont magic away posting losses overnight, and any losses will have to be covered.
Right now I'm at a point where I'm starting to think, even if it means our club having start again from the bottom, that fan ownership and start again is the way forward, at least our club would be clean.

Maybe if the fans actually waited for some ACTUAL news instead of just going off a rumour, we wouldn't get threads like this (and others).
Maybe the club should release a statement everytime Thaea moves, be that for food, drink or for a sh*t, people would be satisfied.
I'd rather they sorted stuff out first, instead of appeasing some people's lust for any old bit of information. I'd rather hard, cold facts than responses to speculation on a locked down website.
From the Tusts Michael Goldbourne:
But first I must state how disappointed I am over Torquay United's failure to communicate with supporters over the vital matter of the club's future. I fully understand the need for "commercial confidentiality" but, to me, this is another example of how football clubs often behave with complete disregard for their supporters. A further argument, you may say, in favour of community ownership!
Still happy with our directors Scott? Wake up they are playing with our clubs very future!

Completely agree. The lack of ANY news from the Board to the loyal fans is shameful. I was very saddened to receive the email from TUST this evening, a disgusting state of affairs.

If there is no news to give out it's better to say nowt.

Wrong. It is better to publically state there is no news than to simply say nothing.
Even better to give small updates - talks are progressing, talks are happening, we have nobody interested - than say nothing. Kelvin Thomas only went on the record for the official site once in this whole period. Not good enough.
