It's the first one I was taught.

We could do another one, but I thought that answering your question with one of the more basic of Acts would probably be safer, given that you probably know that one.

It was, also, a joke that, given your response, you either didn't get or not in the mood for.

Either way, it entertained me in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Clearly very little.

Thanks for the ironic Carrick posting a couple of pages back: comedy gold which gave me a much-needed laugh this morning. Just imagine if anyone was clueless enough to actually believe that...

He's not an attacking midfielder FFS. He's a ball winnning tackler that gets the ball and passes it to someone else. Like Hockers used to for Alex. He's had one season where he's been able to get forward as he had 2 other midfielders to look after breaking up opposition play if they counterattacked.

Remember when he arrived here? He was the ball winner and Murray was supposedly the playmaker (before he was sold to Maccy of all teams)

If that a bit too distant to remember, he did exactly the same on the occasions he played alongside Greavsey and again when he played alongside Nicky Wroe.

Lathrope did indeed play well tonight. However, he mishit the ball out for a throw in twice in the first 15 minutes. By most peoples opinion on here though, that must mean he had a crap game.

Harding, Lathrope and the soon to be returning Labadie are all better than Mansell. It's as simple as that, really. He should not regain his place. And I agree, if we went for a three, I would have Craig over Mansell. I suspect Harper probably would offer a lot more than Mansell as well. If he impresses, Mansell wouldn't even make my bench.

Nope, sorry Scotty, I missed that one entirely.

I knew a girl a couple of years ago, chose the PACE question for an exam. Memorised the whole Act verbatim. It's now her party piece.*

Yeah, they'd have to be almost as big a retard as anyone who would sign up to an internet forum just to make half arsed attempts at antagonising a stranger. Imagine being that bloke.

Yeah - can't disagree with that Sunnyside. When I typed it I thought 'he's not really an attacking midfield player' but couldn't think how to describe him ! Ball winning tackler a la Hockley describes him much better.

Is fit and available for selection tomorrow.Bodin's had a reaction to his knee injury and is out.

..... Surely a place on the bench for him tomorrow then (to replace the injured Bodin). I would expect the same team that started on Tuesday but with Stockley (who made a real impact) instead of Wilkinson up front.

Probably depends on the formation. We seemed to slide from 4-4-2 into a sort of 4-1-3-2 against Burton with Lathrope dropping a bit deeper and Stevens coming inside a bit on the right side of Harding. Harding should start as I thought he looked pretty reasonable. What may have happened had he not picked up a seperated ligament is anyone guess...

Are we gonna take out Danny (no reflection on his performance) and stick Showumni in midfield with Harding? That would give us some real muscle in the middle and a real goalscoring threat from there too. With Stockley, O'Connor, Harding, Showumni, Downer and Pearce all in the side, we'd have a big team too (granted it would be balanced somewhat by Danny, Nico, Chapell and Pokey, but that's life).

Poke
O'Connor Downer Pearce Nico
Chaps Harding Showumni Danny
Stockley Benyon

That'd probably be my team for Saturday. I don't think there's any argument against that side in favour of Manse replacing anyone, unless we go:

Back 5
Chaps Manse Harding
Stockley Benyon Showumni

This rather seems to be too many square pegs in round holes in order to accommodate him. It gives us no options out wide (not really) and will result, particularly with the two big lads up top, in very one dimensional football, which would bypass Manse anyway.

Matt.

Whilst Showunmi was sometimes employed in midfield earlier in his career, is he really mobile enough to play that role? I have him down as a solid target man, who'll win headers and hold the ball up - basically a likeable Leo Fortune-West! After impressing on Tuesday night, it'd be surprising to see either Lathrope or Harding make way for him, unless there are doubts over the latter's ability to start successive games after such a long absence.
