I have to admit I am not sure what people see in Goodwin. Young and raw but not league-ready, in my view.

The problem with the loanees we have had has not just been about quality (too few have been good enough) but the sheer turnover we have had in players.

One month loanees should be used for emergency, or a one-off every now and then to boost the team. We have had too many one-month loanees come in to be starters, to leave after one month and replaced by another. This trend was started by Knill and seems to have been adoptded by Hargreaves.

Nathan Craig was involved with Dorchesters first goal yesterday blasting a freekick which Tonbridge keeper could not hold and Crittenham following up slotted the first goal for Dorchester Town.

Jake Hutchings scored too, for Weymouth in their 3-0 win at Bedford at the weekend. He also topped their MOM poll run on their forum! Nice one Jake.

Usually not, but young and raw is much better than what we have at the moment.

Apologies for the bump, but I'm watching these two in action at Bishops Stortford v Dorchester. Despite wanting the stortford win, I'll be keeping a close eye on these two tonight.

After all, if Stortford get promoted they might well be back here next season.......

Not at all I'd like to know how they did.

So far........erm.......not great for the lads.

Craig had an absolutely dreadful start, but has slowly come into the game. Playing in a very deep, right-of-central midfield role, he was initially weak in the tackle and bypassed easily. But as the game settled, he's been much tidier in possession without ever really imposing himself on the game. The Hollywood passes are gone, but he's done the basics ok. His corners are outstanding to be fair, still got devestating pace and whip on them. He's done ok, but if he was to be our saviour I'd have wanted to see more.

Yeoman is having a shocker. Out on the right wing, where the pitch resembles Paignton beach, he's had about 4 touches. Twice he's been muscled off it, and one of the touches was to nearly score a spectacular own goal.

Neither has shown me anything to suggest they could walk back into our team.

On a side note, what a dreadful game of football. Bearing in mind Stortford are realistic Conf South playoff contenders, we could be playing here for real next season. The football is abysmal - surely we haven't sunk to this level - have we?

Yeoman has been appalling throughout his loan spell, if he can't manage shit conference south level football then that says a lot.

Interesting Tom, real shame but I never thought he was good enough. What's your thoughts on Craig?

Craig has been alright, but he has struggled on the appalling pitches he has had to play on.
Doesn't give the ball away too often but seems a bit weak in the tackle. Hard to properly comment on his abilities because of the difference in your average league 2 pitch and a conference south 'pitch'.

His set piece delivery has been very good through.

Perhaps more of a Summertime player then. I still think he'd be good in a 3 man midfield, maybe a bit weak in a 2 man pairing though.
