You seem to miss the point though. Whether its Plymouth,Exeter or indeed Bideford who got their game on last time ours was called off. All these places have been no less affected by the bad weather than Torquay.
If there was an issue with the pitch last year and the same issue exists now. The ref stated that this was the self same area which caused the abandonment in the Burton game. The same area was like a quagmire in the last home game.
Of course the weather is terrible but its pretty obvious that we have a problem with the pitch - thats why we cannot get games on.
Its not a swipe at anyone its just stating the truth.

As difficult as it might be to accept for some, Brucie is right on this. It's something I alluded to previously. Whilst the weather has been horrific, it's clear that certain changes made in the recent past have adversely affected the pitch. It's been worked on over the last two summers, and is proving more problematic than ever. We'll be lucky to have a home game before April at this rate. At which point we'll be having 3 a week.

Positvely its meant to be a dryish night and no rain till late tomorrow afternoon, however from then and through the night its back to possible heavy rain, but like today it never materialised in the day

Trouble here, whilst it's a good discussion, we are going around and around in circles. No, the current weather is not the fault of the club, No, no one is saying it is, not even brucie, read what he is saying, not what you think he's saying. As it clearly states that 90% of the pitch was playable the day of the Burton game, the team even trained on the pitch at Plainmoor that day, if the problem that has been on that side for donkeys years had been looked at properly, fixed when the Bench was built, the Burton game would have been played, that is not necessarily the fault of the club.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that the Pop side was also affected. Regardless of where was affected, there is nothing which might realistically be done in the face of this volume of rain. We have had 6 months rain in 5 weeks, I think, rather than having a half arsed hack at the club AGAIN, some among our number might do well to offer thanks and praise to the club and staff for coming very close to getting the recent games on in the face of impossible conditions.

Can a pitch inspection take place Friday or does it have to wait until Saturday . Calling it off Friday before bury(I presume will stay over) will save the club paying bury expenses.

There's a thing on the OS suggesting that we want an early inspection but that the League are often opposed. I wonder how they'd feel if they were paying the bill?

Yes they did, which is I think what Brucie and Forever are trying to explain but as usual some are ignoring that and just lazily accusing people of bashing the club.
