very disappointing set of matches, when you consider we had the mighty leeds united visit last season!

I could not give 2 sh1ts about pre-season as long as the squad are fit and 100% ready to go on day 1 of the season. That is all that is important and if the pre-season training and friendlies we have set out produce this then, I am all for it.

I don't really see this as a problem. "Glamour" PSFs are all well and good, but getting a hammering from a team leagues above you teaches us what exactly? If AK is happy that the PSFs we have will prepare the squad sufficiently for the season ahead then that's the main thing, regardless of who the opposition is

I suppose it depends on how much we had to pay them if its judged as a good or bad thing? :B

So we're playing Tiverton on the 23rd as well as WsM and Bovey Tracey!!! Seen the WsM fixture on the Sky Sports website and WSMFC website. I noticed earlier in this thread that somebody said we're playing Bovey Tracey too. Can anybody enlighten me?

The bovey Tracey and wsm match will be mainly youth team players

Cheers Supergulls. Probably go and watch the WsM game as it's 15 mins down the road. Seems strange to pit our youngsters against them when they are a stronger team than Tiverton, but hey ho, maybe it will sort the men from the boys.

I think you will get a mixture of youth team and young pros, as you say it will be a good test for the lads

Not an exciting set of fixtures, but hopefully we'll be able to have some sort of competive games this year, instead of being pretty much out of the game against teams like Leeds and Stoke last year. This is the benefit of the friendlies this year.
