Yes still have the CDs, was much appreciated.

On the depressing times, it has been a bit of a journey in the wrong direction, but lets hope with a bit of structure and forward thinking we can turn it around, interesting to look back and reflect that on this site is did say some of the decision's they made in the past would come back to haunt them, even with the good level of knowledge and experience I have, some people thought they knew better, its no consolation and wished I was wrong, but we are where we are and need to move on!

Best player at TUFC, good question, at the time I would say the team punched well above their weight, Cyril was the catalyst for this, as he pulled together a very different set of players and got the best out of them. One thing we had as a team, was belief, we went into every game believing we could win, in some strange way defeats made us stronger, we also had a great affinity with the supporters, I guess they noticed we had a never say die attitude, which is what most supporter expect from any team as a minimum. I would say Mark Loram was the most talented player, I played with during this time, although Lee Sharp was there, he fulfilled his potential after he left, Mark should have played at a higher level! Also would say I would go into the trenches with them all, I could not say that with all the teams I played for, Cyril demanded this and it was a great combination.

Would Paul Dobson and I have made a difference, Paul was top goal scorer that year, I cant actually remember what I scored, but as Paul said at the time, I got all the attention from the defenders, which he thought was great as they never bother with him lol.

Good bit of trivia someone told me, but you would need to check, that team had the best defensive record in Torquay's history with 41 goals against, that less than a goal a game!!!

awesome dave , the defensive thing was not something I was aware of and ill have a look at that one day !!! Mark loram was awesome and I played once against him in the south devon league around about 1998 ish when he used to turn out for brixham town now and again. even though most ex pros would show there footballing knowhow . Mark was something else , make a prat out of you without any effort it seemed.
I never thought we could sink this low , even in 2008 /2009 in the conference did not have this feeling. I just don't know where we are heading and it's scary. If we do end up in the south league then that's going to be sad. I can't see how we can get our self's out of this mess. I remember the Webb days and this is feeling worse ...least we were in the league then.

great to see on here dave

Well we didn't sign a forward but we did lose one (Campion) - so whatever the opposite of rosier is
