It's a home tie....Gary Johnson has that Paul Buckle-esque quality …..winnable games in the FA Cup at home.
Don't think Woking will relish coming back to Plainmoor so quickly.

It might help if you understood the terminology 😉

Woking at home is winnable and would be a chance to upset their momentum in the league so I'll happily take that.

Out of the two clubs we will be by far the happiest with the outcome so when you look at it like that we should be positive about our chances.

Just saying (happiest is a superlative - would require three or more clubs ......)

Hadn't realised that Ben Gerring was now with Woking... thought he was only just at Billericay!

It will be a test for both teams I reckon.
We smashed them in the second half let’s hope to do that in the full 90 minutes. It’s a winnable game, hopefully we have this one in the bag.

I hope Ben gets a great reception at Plainmoor. Whatever one's opinion on his play, no one can argue that he was 100% dedicated to our 'great escapes' and loyal to the club and wore the 'Yellow' shirt with pride.

I am pleased that his career blossomed after leaving Torquay with his time at promotion chasing Truro leading to his transfer to Billericay and subsequent transfer to Woking.

Yes - Why?

Commonly, adjectives that contain only one syllable or end in 'y' use 'er' to form comparatives and 'est' to form superlatives.

Therefore, Richinns is using the comparative adjective 'happier' to compare two things e.g. Torquay v Woking and not the superlative 'happiest' to compare a group of more than two things.

Here endeth a pointless topic.

Edit - Ah! -Arrywithnobrain I see you changed the superlative to a comparative adjective - fair play - but rather fastidious of you, don't you think

Then why raise it in the first place?

No one gains anything other from it other than reinforcing the view that you are self-righteous annoyance who is only here to feed ones ego - and has little else to contribute other than this.

Sorry - was talking directly to 'Arry'! I was agreeing with you it was a pointless point/post to make!

I care not if it was correct or incorrect grammar and I suspect so do 99% of the other posters who wanted to read a thread about the FA cup!
