Dale Tonge signed for Chester today but only on a one month deal. Perhaps he's holding out for a League club.
As for Ajala looks like he's burnt his boats as nobody seems to want him; should have accepted the deal here when he had the chance.

Aaron Downes appointed as skipper at Cheltenham today. I often thought he played better for us when made captain in Luke Young's absence. He was certainly good with the younger players.

A good section in "Highway to Hele" about leavers and new players. Issue 6 highly recommended!
Which is all very well, but whatever happened to Danny Stevens ? Anyone?

Not quite so recent, but it's great to see that Eunan O'Kane came off the bench today to make his Premiership debut. Fingers crossed he can get a run of games to make an impression. Possibly in the future Bournemouth will spend heavily and 'outgrow' him, or he impresses another side enough to come in for him - as the sell on clause for a Premiership player these days could pay our entire wage bill for about two years.

I believe Niall Thompson scored for Hucknall Town today

Karl HAWLEY is, at the moment, a trialist with Stourbridge F.C. If they sign him I will watch him next Saturday as Whitby Town's opening fixture of this season is against Stourbridge (at The Turnbull).

Aaron Dawson scored for Truro yesterday in their 1 - 1 draw away to Margate. I would think that was a good opening day result away to probably one of the stronger sides in the National South so well done Steve Tully and Wayne Carlisle.

Hayes & Yeading 3 Whitehawk 4 Benyon after 3 minutes for Yeading then won a penalty before Jake Robinson pulled one back for Whitehawk for whom Danny Stevens came on after 70 minutes.
