Exactly! Unfortunately some people just want to moan moan moan about everything. The people berating the arrogance of BR do exactly the same and say we should be beating teams like little ole pathetic Dover. NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO BEAT ANYONE!!

And for those slagging off this league, Im enjoying it. Better than the last 2 years suffering at the foot of league 2. And if I could be bothered (and I cant) I guess we would find the same ones moaning about performances from the Ling era, how boring it was, 0-0, 1-0, 0-1) week in week out. AND, "THAT THEY WANT TO BE ENTERTAINED". Well we are being entertained now and that aint good enough either. Go and support Chelsea if you want free flowing football every week and loads of goals, be a glory hunter.

Replying to your post Brucie minus the insults.
Friendly Gas - if you have got such a great side and great squad then basically you should be ashamed of yourself as you are not top of the league then.
Where have I said we have a "great" side and squad?" All I was basically saying was that i would expect us to do better than Exeter based on the squad they have.
Saying you would do well in league 2 is nonsensical when your no better than the likes of Macclesfield (when your gates are six times bigger than they are)
I agree that based on the League we are no better than Macclesfield and they could also possibly do reasonably well in League 2 now and that is the question I was answering. Our gates are also bigger than most of League 1 FACT but i would not expect us to do very much in that League and not be good enough to even get promoted from League 2. What I can say is that our squad is definitely a lot stronger than it was last year, whether the 11 on the pitch are stronger I am not sure but this team we have now will give everything unlike some of the "Big time Charlies" we had last season. Last seasons team had a lot more quality but at the end of the day what is quality if the players attitudes mean they rarely reach their ability?
I actually hate Bristol Rovers and their big time big club mentality
. - I only hate Bristol City but please tell me what is the difference between your comment about Dover??? I have to admit that some supporters do have that but that is what happens when your history has been mainly in a higher division BUT we are where we are for a reason.
You haven't got a great squad - you have players like Mansell
- I can only comment on that by saying that Mansell has been very good for us this season and has done much better than players which some of you rated ie Zebrowski, Stanley come to mind. Perhaps he had become stale with yourselves which is not an insult to you but this does happen. Some players need a fresh challenge and from what I have seen it is possible that Nicholson was the same as he too had a very good game against us. I will only ever comment on how a player plays for us and they start with a clean sheet when they play for us.
Dover are a part time club managed by a bloke whose full time job is a PE teacher so if you cannot beat them you should start with your own club first

. - Well you didn't beat them last week either but the Part time and who they are Managed by is irrelevant. i think your very comment is that you consider yourselves to be a bigger club than Dover? Perhaps a big club mentality?
I saw Barnet Arsewipe Dover earlier in the season - no doubt thats why they are top of the league and both Torquay and Yourselves are nowhere near them.
- we ,the same as you beat Barnet recently and Leagues are not won in November. For the first half we actually ran Barnet completely off the park. Our biggest problem is that we don't take enough of the chances we create.
Trust me you do not have a great squad - you are in denial as usual.
- Not at all,yet again I did NOT say we had a GREAT squad. What i said was that we had a very strong squad in which terms I mean't that how many teams in this League could have 4 experienced players not even in the First team squad?
So far this season you have failed to beat (or indeed lost to) ahem...Altrincham (lost) FG (drew) Braintree (lost) Eastleigh (drew) Dover (drew) Aldershot (drew) FG again (lost) ALfreton (drew) Kidderminster (drew) Chester (drew) Add to that you have had 1-0 wins against ahem the mighty Telford,Southport,Dartford,Telford (again)

- i cannot argue that because it is FACT however think of it what you want but I respect the teams who we have played in this League and some of those teams played very well against us. I could just as easily look at league 2 results last season and say the same thing. I only comment on things as I see them and having seen every game home and away both last season and this season I can definitely say7 that I am enjoying the way we are playing since the first three games far more than last season.
Call me old fashioned but if you think that this set of results makes you some loss to league 2 then you are a total idiot.-
I would prefer to call you old fashioned rather than an idiot but at least I have not lowered myself to crucifying my own players from the luxury of an armchair and a radio!! There again only an idiot would do that!!

Admin edit. I have edited this post highlighting the quoted text - it makes it easier to read. SB

Welcome to Brucies world, where insults are the only way he know how to debate.
(He'll respond to this now by calling me an idiot or something of that ilk - he doesn't know any other way)

WIth all due respect to Dover they are a part time team (and you don't find any of those in league 2) -Of course full time teams won't always come out on top but in general you might expect the full time teams to do better. So if both Rovers and us cannot seem to do it on a regular basis then its hard to see how Bristol Rovers could be on a par with Exeter.
Plain fact is that Briscoe ran out of juice again after about fifty minutes on Tuesday. Yet part time players who have also played several games of late such as Dover seem to be able to up the anti in the second half.
To me that isn't good enough at all.

Have I missed some thing here G/S, that link says rovers have signed a loan keeper because their main two keepers are injured, pretty normal thing to do for a football club with out a fit main line keeper. I 've just had an idea. :)

Nice composure by Yeoman, would have been easy to panic and shoot right at the defender, as Bowman did with his chance.

The through ball from Ajala was pretty good, too. Anyone who still thinks Rice was at fault for their first goal is an idiot.

No way Rice at fault for first goal, ridiculous to think he was. In fact the 2nd also is 50/50 as you could argue that there were too many bodies in there so I would put the blame more on conceding 4 corners in the last few minutes. To be honest its getting boring this, blaming him for everything.

I certainly think rice played a part in the first goal. I am an idiot obviously.

Ball enters the net very close to the middle of the goal, his positioning was poor as usual meaning he had no chance of saving it. Other errors from defenders too by the looks of it.

For the second I would like to know why MacDonald and bowman, two of our bigger players, end up being at the far end of the goal a good few yards behind the opposition/play. Didn't follow their men in? Very poor, surprisingly so from macdonald.

It wasn't aimed at you, kit. Although I'm surprised anyone can attach blame to Rice looking at that bullet header.
