If the Gulls win their remaining three games (Exeter away, Mansfield away, Wycombe home) they will finish on 48 points.
Wycombe, Bristol Rovers, and Northampton all have 47 points.
Wycombe must play Fleetwood (A), Bristol Rovers (H), and Torquay (A).
Bristol Rovers play Portsmouth (A), Rochdale (H), Wycombe (A), and Mansfield (H).
Northampton play Portsmouth (H), Dagenham (A), and Oxford (H).
If any two of those teams lose all their remaining games, and Torquay win all theirs, then the Gulls will be safe.
Just saying.. :)

I can't complement you enough for not wanting to part with any more cash to watch a club littered with weakness and ambivalence, I feel the same from top to bottom - we are a bunch of amateurs, however, you can't be a supporter should you go and watch another club on a regular basis instead of the club you 'support'.

I guess you feel like you have been taken for granted and given zero information or been not been able to familiarise yourself and relate to any of the people running the club due to the simple fact that no f*** ever communicates with the fans. I feel that way too Burnham and now I can sort of understand why the lure of Ashton Gate appeals more than the barren, gulag-esque dead space of Plainmoor with it's silent corridors and secretive members.
See you in the Dolman Stand then :~D

Well. yes DTG - can't argue with much of what you post 'cept you're a bit harsh on the Grandstand messing up the playing surface. Nobody could have foreseen the contractors messing up the drainage system or whatever has happened. Picking the bones out of what you say and what Andy, Hector and myself have said - there's a lack of leadership and I think you're right - Thea is in the hot seat only because nobody else was willing to take it on. The Board has appealed for fresh input but it seems nobody is interested. Pretty well reflects on the state Torbay is in ......

Both Wycombe & Bristol Rovers can't lose all their games as they play each other, so we could only catch one of them - and neither if they drew with each other.
But we could catch Northampton on goal difference even if they drew one of their last 3 games.
It is still not impossible that 48 points would go down, but very likely.
What is far less likely is that we'll get another point, let alone 9.
TV said we'd be relegated if Bristol win today but I don't think that's right.
Sadly we will be relegated at Exeter on Monday.

DTG has it pretty much spot on.

For anyone who still thinks those leading the consortium have done a 'pretty decent job' I suggest you await the news that's coming and see if you still feel that way once you've heard it.

Hmmm - I guess we are pretty much fecked moneywise then which would be no great suprise. Yet last week Phillips was droning on about "a promotion budget" for next season.
With regard to the odd comment about the stewards not being paid, I really have no idea. The only thing I would say that there were less stewards on duty yesterday. The ones that normal stand at the bottom of each section of Bristows Bench were absent.

David - I feel a sort of 'What have the Romans done for us in reverse?' like 'apart from all you suggest - what exactly have they done wrong?' :-D

I do wish you would stop this hinting at insider knowledge - just say it! What news?

You can wish for a naked dwarf in your bed for all I care, I write what I want to write when I want to write it, suiting your wishes is not exactly high on my list of priorities surprisingly enough. I warned people months and months ago what was likely to happen, the fact you and others chose to blindly carry on in your pursuit of what was beyond our means isn't lost on me.

Still, you know best eh? <<rollingonthefloorlaughingsmiley>>

Not at all. You and I usually agree on most things whereas Hector is almost always wrong. Still, Baker is a nice chap.......
