This highlights the dangers of relying upon loan signings and the false economy of not bringing in new players to bolster the squad earlier in the year when everybody could see the way things were going. The club, frozen like rabbits caught in the headlights, may have saved a few pounds then, but in exchange for a much greater loss next season. Fortune favours the brave, and they didn't have what it takes. 'For the want of a horse, the battle was lost', etc..

That bravery is needed now more than ever, on the pitch. And if it's too late for the board to do anything more this season, we can at least give our support to the players in the remaining games. Think negative, and negativity will happen. But think positive, and, together, we can make a difference. It's still not too late for that.

It's not over till it's over..

You missed off the 'baby' bit at the beginning Mick :na:

I genuinely thought Lenny Kravitz was a Torquay fan then and you were him!!

I'll be at Morecambe giving my full support but i'm not sure the lads take much notice if i'm honest. I can't speak much for the home games but they've had excellent support at ALL the away games i've been to all season and it hasn't seemed to make them play better or give them that extra lift.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I just can't see why they want to recall him? If they want to see what he can do, they can watch him play for us! The timing of this stinks.

I think this along with Michael Poke's injury could well be the end of our season. What promised to be an exciting battle royale will now I fear end up in a damp squib as we tumble back into non-league, to be joined by A.N Other.

Crock of shit!
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

Crock of sh*t!

you watch, i bet he doesnt even get a game for notts county between now and the end of the season. he will get a few minutes off the bench at best when he could have been our key player.
how galling for us is that going to be on saturday when we have a struggling midfield at gillingham on saturday and labadie doesnt even play for notts county. :@
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

What's with the Craig-bashing? Why won't some of you be told, the boy is a cut above, but a little bit like playing Gianfranco Zola in goal, it's **** all good sticking Nathan on the bloody wing. Get him in the middle, tell Manse to do whatever it is he is supposed to be doing and let Nathan pick the passes. Drop that useless sack of shit Howe and put Benners and Yeoman up front to give NC some runners to aim for and we might not miss Ladders.

This isn't Notts County's fault - its ours. If we had signed players fit for purpose we wouldn't be in the position we are in now.
We have a half fit goalkeeper - his replacement is a western league player at best.
Our top scorer is likely to be suspended for thew last three games.
Really the likes of Barnet,Plymouth,Aldershot must be pissing themselves. There is basically no hope unless by some act of god we somehow manage to fluke a win at Gillingham - it isn't going to happen.

It would appear the OS have more important issues to deal with. Auctioning the 2009 shirts who gives a toss, we are 4 games away from BSP come on let's get a grip and post something positive to us fans

Like others have already said, I fear this is the final nail in the coffin, especially if we face any games with Martin Rice in goal. The utter optimism of the official site is mind-blowing...it's as if they think we are stupid.

"It is obviously a blow for United boss Alan Knill but he does have options in the engine room. Nathan Craig is a terrific passer of a football, Damon Lathrope can put his foot in with the best, Ian Morris is fit again after a ruptured Achilles and Craig Easton has all the experience in the world, although the Scot is suffering from a calf injury"

Options in the engine room! What sort of options are they? If they had had anything about them then we would not be heading back to the Conference. The final irony is that one of the ineffective players they are trying to big up has his 'big experience' tag qualified by the fact he is injured anyway so what exactly was the point of including him in that list.

This is not the fault of Notts County. It is the fault of the club and their failure to recruit and plan.
