I am hoping that Simon Baker does his bit on Tuesday, with a half time pep talk to the crowd.
Picture it, half a bitter shandy in the gulls nest before the game. Our esteemed but completely sozzled Chairman staggers onto the pitch to the sound of the Benny Hill theme tune. Grabbing the microphone off a shocked Dean Edwards, he proceeds to slur into it. 'why don't you love me? I'm one of you! let's be avin you!'
A stunned Plainmoor looks on in silence. Two thousand jaws drop open. A seagull shits on the penalty spot, narrowly missing Miss Torbay.
Come on Simon, about time you earned your money. don't let us down!
It really is up to us now.
We have seen in the last two away games that the players have the fight in them, but we have seen in recent home games that fans getting on players backs only makes them play worse.
If we want to stay up we have to get behind the players and support them. If we are yelling abuse, shouting and swearing at players during the game we will get relegated.
Gary Johnson's Yellow Army! Yellow Army! Yellow Army!
Yes, well done to everyone in the crowd - from all three sides. AK mentioned how important the support was to the players when they seemed to be under the cosh either side of the Chesterfield goal.
We need to again step up our performance at home for the remaining matches - especially York on Saturday. It would be really great if as many exiles as possible could come back for what could the most important game since THAT game at Wembley.
fantastic well done to all 2,000 fans for getting behind the team, see it wasnt that bad was it, open your mouth and see what happens, i thought the singing was great and my voice is still gone this morning, and well done to alan knill and the team for putting on a good display, now is everyone up for the york game on saturday as we have to do it again.! ps, who said i missed the game, i was there in my normal spot on the pop.
