I think the problem with Nicho apart from his obvious lack of pace is confidence, Ever since the Cheltenham playoff game where McGlashen frightened him to death he has been a shadow of his former self. Fullbacks need to boss the winger pushing them in the direction they want. As Supergulls says , He stands off too far which allows the wingers too much time on the ball. You need to restrict space so to limit options. Even when they don’t beat him they have so much room they have so many options to bring others into play. I think Gurneygibbs23s criticism of Oastler is a bit unfair. I watched Joe early in the season and until his sending off at Bristol Rovers I thought he looked our best player. Seems to be another lacking belief in their own ability.

This is, without a doubt, the most flabbergasting thing I have ever read. He was so bad that day, when he committed the foul* for his second yellow, the ROVERS players were begging the ref not to send him off.

ferrarilover i think popside bob means our best player in the season up to that date not in that particular game.

i do agree that oastler was doing well up until that bristol game. he has recently had great games at accrington and dagenham which makes me wonder if he has more confidence in away games and away from the abuse he gets from the popside and i think that this applies to several other players too

yes....i know he has to put up with abuse as supporters pay their money and have thier rights to shout abuse :} :} but like bodin lathrope mcdonald etc he is a young player who needs encouraging
