Much better first half than last seasons "efforts". We've been the better side but difficult to carve out anything clear cut with Taiwo so isolated. That doesn't mean he's having a bad game, he's shown some great movement and control and is a real handful.
Macc have lined up with the same system as us, so it's all a bit of a stalemate. Their defence (and the much-vaunted Veiga) look very shaky on set pieces. Both sides have forced saves and had a couple of long rangers off-target. Veiga started time wasting after about 10mins. Just like last year.
On the strength of the first half we can get a result here, but we need to get more people forward and in the box if it's to be from open play. Best bet is us to score from a set piece. I fear if we were to go one down, we don't have the personnel to change things.

Heard from a friend on the bus that the number of travelling fans was in single figures today. Shame really.
On the strength of that I'm going to juggle some finances and get to an away game soon. Seems that on paper (according to BBC Online) we've just about had the upper hand. Hopeful of a result.
