Going to put my neck on the line. Dark humour - if that what it was - isn't always funny, as it usually at the expense of another person - in this case our manager. Whatever the intent of the message it created a negative impact and the counterargument to limit the culpability to achieve leniency is in my view really defending the indefensible. The message must stand or fall on its merits.

Unfortunately you both make yourself look totally idiotic, a bit like two adolescent boys smoking and giggling behind the bike shed. Why do you have to write seven or eight messages defensing the author of the thread - can't he speak for himself, or do you control him with your hand up his backside or something?
