As the season comes to what, hopefully, is a jubilant conclusion, the TUST board would like to bring to the attention of all supporters just how TUST has been at the forefront of many important initiatives to support the club.

TUST has been instrumental in setting up and running throughout the season, the popular and successful FanZones alongside the Torquay United Community Sports Trust, the MatchDay Ambassador scheme which mirrors the Supporter Liaison Officers as required in the Football League and the TUFC Outreach Hubs. For these to function they require hours of voluntary work from TUST board members.

Recently we helped initiate the Ian Twitchin memorial culminating in the official naming of the executive suite in Ian’s memory and also arranged and ran the TUFC Legends’ evening which raised much needed funds for the disabled area as well as for the TUFC Ladies’ team.

Behind the scenes we have been actively involved in dialogue with both Dulwich Hamlet and Bath City in preparation for visits from the Yellow Army.

On this note we are concerned about the way in which the club decided to sell the ticket allocation for the forthcoming game at Woking. Clearly the supporters who had the better chance of purchasing one were those living within reasonable driving distance of Plainmoor and with the time to go personally. For those phoning in this was pot luck. It was disappointing that there was no priority given to season ticket holders. As a board we will be discussing our response especially with a view to fans wanting to attend the Good Friday fixture at Chippenham.

Finally, TUST is currently consulting on our revised Objectives and we would welcome any feedback/ criticisms before our next board meeting which is on Monday March 18. Representatives of the board will be at the Fanzone this Saturday so come along and let us know your views.

TUST exists to represent all TUFC supporters - your support for us is much appreciated.

Sam Balsdon is AGAIN raising money for Torquay United’s disabled fan base.

“The disabled fan base who watch Torquay United deserve the best facilities. The toilets need upgrading for these special supporters and a new roof is required over the section for the away fans. It is hoped that sufficient money can be raised to upgrade the facilities so they can watch the football in greater comfort.”

Here at TUST we couldn’t agree more and will therefore donate £500 to the cause.

Please visit the link attached and give what you can to this very worthwhile cause to enhance the match day experience of our fellow gulls.

Good evening everyone!!

Here is the flyer for this weeks FanZone before the home game against Eastbourne.

Potentially we could win the league this Saturday so bring your young gulls and give them memories that will last for a life time at their Football Club.

CONGRATULATIONS, CHAMPIONS, from TUST!
We would firstly like to send our sincere congratulations to all at Torquay United FC on the winning of the NL South championship. Our thanks extend to Clarke Osborne for appointing Gary Johnson and his staff, who have transformed the club on the field.

Since his arrival, GJ and his tight knit dedicated team have provided us with exciting and entertaining football, also bringing total commitment and the resulting deserved success.

Furthermore, they have developed a close affinity with us, the supporters.

It would be remiss not to also applaud the undying loyalty and passionate support of the fans. The attendances, particularly at away matches, have been outstanding. Recent gates illustrate how much the 'Torquay United community', both local supporters and those exiles whose life has moved them much further afield, values having their own local football club to enjoy meeting together to watch.

A huge well done to everyone from all of us!

TORQUAY UNITED SUPPORTERS TRUST (TUST)

PRESS RELEASE

THE IAN TWITCHIN TROPHY PRESENTATION

The inaugural Ian Twitchin Trophy presentation, proudly sponsored by the Torquay United Supporters’ Trust (TUST) will take place on Sunday 8 September 2019 in Boots & Laces, Plainmoor between 12 noon and 2.00pm.
This is a joint initiative between TUST, Laura Twitchin, Ian’s daughter and the Twitchin family to honour the memory of a Torquay United legend; a player who holds the record of pulling on a Torquay United shirt the most times in his one club career between 1969 and 1980.
Fittingly, the Trophy will be awarded annually to the player who makes the most first team appearances each season - and for the 2018-2019 season the first winner is Liam Davis who started all 48 of United’s league and cup matches.

TUST Supporter Liaison Officer Nick Brodrick said,” We are very grateful to the Club for allowing us to use Boots & Laces for this special occasion.

Liam is hoping to persuade some of his fellow players to join him and all Gulls’ supporters, whether TUST members or non-members, are all welcome and encouraged to join us in Boots & Laces.

There will be a free light buffet and a welcoming drink available for those attending.

TUST hopes there will be a good turn-out to not only see the Trophy awarded but also a chance to show our appreciation to the late Ian Twitchin, a loyal one club professional.”
