See Brucie? You gotta be positive !! Mind you, I think here in South Devon we missed the worst of last night's rain. If we'd had what you had in North Devon, or what Yeovilgull had in Somerset, the game would most certainly have been off. Hope you have a good drive down to balmy Plainmoor and that we see a good game. I reckon Plainmoor will be rockin' for Chris's first home game - really looking forward to it. A thorough soaking of the pitch overnight will lead to exactly the same scenario as we have had for the past postponements.
Because the same area of the pitch won't drain there will only be one outcome I'm afraid. Hopefully I am wrong as I have taken time off work again.
I don't live anywhere near Torquay,I am not a member of the groundstaff,I don't work for the met office and I am not the referee.
Taking all that into consideration I have been right that the last three matches have been postponed. I don't take any credit for that - any fool would have come to the same conclusion far earlier than the powers that be did.
BUT any significant rainfall between now and kick off time tomorrow will see the game go the same way as the others have.
A dry spell following a period of rainfall won't make a jot of difference. Look at the Burton/Bury games same scenario/same outcome.
