"You'll find it hard to find a worse pitch than this," Justin Edinburgh has told BBC Radio London.....

"It's a different game when you're at home - you're expected and demanded to push on ~ but it's hard enough to stand out on that pitch, let alone pass and take the game to the opposition."

Orient chief executive Danny Macklin admitted in February that a "lack of investment into pitch preparation and maintenance" was to blame and said "extensive pitch work" will be undertaken at the end of the season.

Edinburgh's side are eight points above the relegation zone, but have now gone seven games in all competitions without a win at home. "We've got to take responsibility," he said. "Our fans turn up and pay good money, expecting us to win these games and we're not delivering. It's bitterly frustrating and disappointing. What we've got to understand is that the expectation is going to increase and we've got to be able to deal with that.
"People have got futures to play for."

The other factor is Barrow are home to Hartlepool next wednesday, a shame both cant lose but we need
Barrow to win that and if we can narrow the gap to within 5 points of Hartlepool with 2 games left, at least
we have a chance

The last two seasons we've won our penultimate games away from home - Bromley & Dover, to secure or almost secure safety.
Could it be Hartlepool this time?

Highly unlikely, Hartlepool is our last game away, our penultimate away match is Dover(now that's interesting)

I refuse to hope for another miracle - 'cos that is what some are suggesting - less stressful that way!

Sorry got confused. Just hoping we're still in with a chance by the Hartlepool game.

It must be easier to accept the almost inevitable when you haven't attended for a while...lots of us haven't accepted it yet! Or..we did after the crap on Saturday, & then got revived 'hope' last night!
