Just seen the match highlights on the F.L. Show: Joe Oestler's second foul was not bookable at all. I scientifically analysed both players' movements. The foul was made to appear bookable by Lee Brown, who produced a clear dive which Tom Daley would have been proud of. Brown completely fooled the ref. The Gulls were robbed..!!

Not ronbbed Gullscorer, I'd say Lee Brown did us a favour getting Oastler sent off. He was that bad yesterday!!

He was looking to send Oastler off after the first foul forced there player off in the end.

In all honesty I was wishing at the time that he stayed on the pitch because we havent got a good record when the opposition are down to ten men plus we lost Broghammer in the incident and he was tearing Oastler apart and at the time we were playing very well. Lee Brown is not and never will be a midfielder. He is a full back and although he played reasonable he doesn't have Broghammers pace.
See youve got a good FA Cup draw giving you a great chance of going forward whereas we have Sheffield United at home which we will probably lose but nevermind it will be a good game and at least being home we have a chance of a minor upset.

Blimey, you know you're a bad side when that was playing well.

Louis: we need a 'fishing' smilie.

Ferrarilover,
Well it was a damn sight better than your lot and we should have been 5 up at half time. Always remember you are only as good as your opponents allow you to play. We totally outplayed you when the sides numberwise were even. Think you are a wee bit sour grapes with your comments.

Yep, it must be admitted that, even if we had kept eleven men on the field, Rovers just about deserved to scrape a win. Probably.. Possibly..

We let you win Friendlygas, it's what Martin likes to encourage on our travels by letting our opponents have 1000% of the possession whilst we spend 89 minutes on the back foot. At least we get to see a shot from Rene each game hit the onion bag, our other players have not had any shots this season because of extreme nosebleeds that always occur when the half way line is passed.

The first half was as bad as anything I've ever seen. We could not keep the ball, offered nothing going forward and never looked like doing anything.
In the second half we gave it a go, but two goals and one man was too big a head start to give a side and expect to get anything.
Oastler was stupid. His first yellow was pure frustration and he needlessly ran straight into the player with aggression. It wasn't as bad as the Bristol Rovers fans are making out, but it was an obvious yellow card and all caused because he lost his head and took his anger out on the player. His second yellow was harsh in the extreme, the winger was going nowhere and it wasn't a cynical foul, but he put himself in the position where he was walking the tightrope, and the home fans put the ref under a lot of pressure because of the nature of his first foul, which was entirely his fault. Ling should be crucifying him because he let us down yesterday.
Two home games now, and we need 4 points to keep our position up. Tuesday will be very tough indeed with the form Gillingham are in.

Rovers were quite good - but not near the best side we've played this year.
On the balance of play they deserved it, as we were terrible for all apart from the first 15 minutes of the second half, which we dominated. For fight in the face of sheer adversity, a point would have been fair.
Still, like I say Rovers were okay, not the best we've played but far from the worst.
That Eaves is a bit heavy-handed though!!
EDIT: Jarvis was absolutely useless when he came on too. Did he touch the ball? Still knackered from Tuesday probably...

Our revival actually fell to pieces once Jarvis came on. Bodin - once moved up front - was working hard and putting himself about, neither of which Jarvis was able to do. Not sure if BB was out of steam, but that change disrupted what little rythem we had built up and handed the game back to Rovers.

Yep. I was actually calling for Jarvis to come on as I thought he'd put himself about a bit and run around. He did neither. Just chased shadows for half an hour.

I can't believe it, I even wrote, explicitly that it was a wind up, and he STILL fell for it.
