Should be a good source of revenue as long as they are paying rent and not paying the club based on gate receipts!

Now that's it's officially confirmed. What's the odds that we play them twice next season at plainmoor(LWS). And they have the right for the home ends, in there "home fixture".

If we're in the same division we'll have 24 league home games! Or put it another way we could see more than one win per season at Plainmoor!

Rather perversely it'd make sense for them to open up two of the home stands to 'away' supporters (aka Torquay fans) like we've done on occasion when big teams have visited. They'd end up basically stealing a home gate off us, as the vast majority of fans there will be Torquay 'home' fans with a couple hundred Truro fans hanging around in the family stand or Bench but Truro as the designated 'home' team will get all the gate receipts. Even more ridiculously it'd be by a large distance their biggest 'home' attendance of the season :}
I hope the board has put something in their contract with Truro in regards to this...

With friendlies, league games, cup runs ect, we could have nearly 60 games at Plainmoor next season.
A game every Saturday and plenty mid week games will turn our pitch into a mud bath during the winter months.
When we go down please don't let anyone spout of an early return to Conference football!

Nobody has posed the question - did Truro approach Plymouth about ground sharing, and if so, why did Plymouth decline? Would it be anything to do with the dodgy business dealings (allegedly) of the Truro chairman and son - ie. barge pole, don't touch with a.

This ground-share agreement with Truro seems very strange; probably more to it than meets the eye. Truro could probably share with any other Cornish ground, such as Falmouth, Launceston., Penzance, Bodmin, or St Austell. Yet they're coming to Plainmoor, and their chairman's son is rumoured to have acquired some TUFC shares.
Just speculating, but could all this be leading up to the Truro chairman selling that club and subsequently taking over at Torquay? If so, I shouldn't be too unhappy about that..
Or is he anticipating the demise of TUFC, and preparing to pull an MK Dons trick by keeping Truro City at Plainmoor and renaming it Torquay Rovers?

Most of their players are from in or around our part of Devon, so it makes sense for them at least

The franchise thing actually crossed my mind too! That couldn't (wouldn't?) happen though, could it.....?

I mean, there are conspiracy theories but this........!
The ground share has been scrapped because Truro haven't had to move out of their existing ground yet due to all the planning and legal wranglings associated with their new ground, and the associated development on the old one.
Nothing untoward is going on here
