Presumably, given his age and the fact we offered him a deal, any move will subject to compensation from the purchasing club

Overrated, doesn't want to be here, too costly probably in terms of pay and definately in terms of missed chances, LATERS.

Interesting that today he has been named as one of our trialists with Myrie-Williams. So we have him and Billy Bodin on trial. Will be interesting to see if anything materialises.

I would say Ajala is a better option than Bodin. More consistency and harder working. Would take him back here, which I wouldn't for Billy.

They're very similar players in a lot of ways.
Tricky on the ball, seem to have a lot of dribbling ability, but their final product is frustratingly laughable.
The main difference is Ajala's ability and willingness to track back and to win the ball back, which, when he wasn't booked for a bad challenge, was excellent. The same definitely couldn't be said about Bodin. He was more in the Courtney Cameron school of effort.
On paper though, both decent players if they can be coached positively.
In our predicament I'd have them both back here.

Good point! I've blocked the entirety of last season out like a bad dream.

Not sure what all this is about. Personally at the correct salary I would take either or both Ajala or Bodin. I don't worry what colour their boots are or how they comb their hair - with the right coach they are both good players.

Back to the ajala thread. Cox said he was waiting for a decision, the fact he is on trial at rovers kind of says it all really. We want players that are committed to Torquay. Get rid

Every footballer wants to play as high as they can. Ajala had a good season and earnt a trial at a higher division club, which you can't blame him for exploring. It's the downside of offering one year contacts, although easier for us to replace than it is to get rid of someone who flops but is tied to a longer deal.

If the trial in Bristol doesn't work out and we still have room in the squad/budget then it would be silly to close the door just because Torquay isn't his dream move. We wouldn't have a squad if those criteria were actually applied.
