Kernowgull wrote:So how do I find out about this promotion? I cant even see it on the clubs website, and have also searched bbc, twitter and facebook. If I cant find it when im looking for it, how is a potential person who might take the offer up going to find it? It needs to be marketed if its going ro work, in places where Premiership fans who dont care about Torquay are likely to bd looking.

Agree entirely about emails, Dave.
Re publicising this offer, try and get some retweets on twitter from PL clubs just so their fans see the deal. Can't hurt anyone.

Great. Its not on the front page, certainly if you go on on either mobile or tablet. Plus, what the hell does Plainmoor Football Fix mean. If Im a fan of a Premier League club, and I happen to come across Torquays website, "Discount for Premier League Season Ticket Holders over International Weekend" is much more likely a headline to grab my attention and make me read it.
It needs to be on the bbc qnd football websites, the local news (it may be, I dont live down there) and agreed, e-mails. The club should be trying to get email addresses for every fan, home and away, who ever sets foot in the ground, or reads an article. I get emaila weekly from Fulham, West Ham, Swindon, Gillingham and others because I once signed up.
Not knocking the idea, but the idea is pointless if no-one knows about it.

I know there are some many ways us fans can find out any information we want to know, however when your a service providing business as I believe TUFC is, that's not always the point, is it? Yes, I know all administration has a cost , and our football club being a very small business , has to strictly control and justify all it's costs.
However on the point of e-mails, I am a popside season ticket holder the club has my e-mail address, I was going to the Rochdale cup game regardless, so didn't bother to check the entry fee for the game, to my surprise and delight found out when I got to the game it was only £13 to go in, the point is I didn't know it was a reduced price game, how many others didn't know it was a reduced price game and maybe didn't go expecting to pay full price. I know it didn't effect me, also didn't know there was a special entry system for Bristow's bench season ticket holders either.
Being serious here, my computing skills as some know are very limited, how hard is it to create a generic e-mail and send out as a group e-mail to all contacts?

Dave, be quiet, you jibbering old fool, you're making me feel ill. :na:
Seriously though, they do send out a weekly email update if they have your correct email address. Check your junk (stop giggling at the back, I mean your junk email), if it's not there, then they may have missed you of the list or some other thing may well have occurred. If you're sufficiently bothered (every reason that you should be), email Tim or Andy and ask for your email address to be added.
Matt.

Nope nothing in my junk e-mail folder, other than some seriously ill African who needs a donation from a kind hearted soul daft enough to reply with bank details, oh and slut finder..
Had a season ticket for 7 years, had e-mails before, last one came about 2 years ago, guess I've missed off then, as I have the same e-mail address, as do BRFC, and it would appear I am not only one. It appears that Nick and Kernow aren't getting them either. Anyone else?

Hmmm, it's possible then that the process of selecting the addresses to which E-Mails are sent is somewhat less free than I thought. Maybe, if you want to receive the E-Mails, you could just message the club and ask to be added to the list.

Well no, you bemoaned the lack of a club E-Mail. There is a club E-Mail, you just aren't important enough to get it.
