Chapell could be on his way? He might be brought in to replace him.

I hope he is good so I can start believing again. I think I'll upset you now,' Billy hurry up and get fit'. Yes I'll take stick but Knill has not got the best out of Billy. I trust my judgement. Remember I think M&W are the managers at the moment.

Wouldn't any signing of Horgan be subject to the International transfer window? Thus delaying any movement until the new year at least?

(Wouldn't stop a pre-contract agreement if he really is the real deal, but we wouldn't see him in yellow until Jan 1st)

I think so, Jeff. I believe the lad will be out of contract in January (saw something suggesting he signed a two year deal in Jan 2011), but I doubt we'll be able to see him straight away, unless they decide to get rid for nothing now, which would be bizarre!

Are Cork a Professional team? I've a feeling the rules may be slightly different for semi-pros and amateurs.

If he's contracted to the club part-time or full time they will want a fee. Obviously if his contract is coming up for renewal he may be having trials everywhere. There are no amatuers any more. :)

As I say, I reckon he's a free agent as of January, so he's in that period where teams can look to sign a pre-contract deal. And I think there are amateur teams, it's the next step down after semi-pro.

Talking about Mozika, he's on a pay-as-you-play contract which presumably means he gets paid when he is in the squad. So far he has been in the squad for four games - Burton and Bury (away) and Portsmouth and Rochdale (home). During those FOUR games, he has played precisely 17 minutes (plus any injury time in the two games he has been brought on). Nice work if you can get it methinks !! :-/

I think you will find he's on a short term (3 month?) deal to prove his injuries wont become a problem and he can regain full fitness.

Most clubs have an appearance money in their contract so they could be a sub. and get paid a basic and if they get on it's appearance money.

"Damien Mozika joins Torquay on short-term deal"

"It is a short-term deal and we want to get him on the pitch, so we can see how he reacts. If that works, we’ll look to negotiate a longer deal".

Hmmm, I suspect we have a case here where we're both right. Still, I've said far too much already.
