Matt.
The manager must always take the blame for his teams poor results, he is employed to produce results & build an entertaining team, if the team are shit then he has to be the one at fault. At the moment it looks like he has destroyed a reasonable L2 side that needed two or three players, & built a mid table Conference side. In this case he has had a bit of bad luck with injuries, but he should have signed cover before the season started, at least he is trying to sign loan players, if he signed Cooper instead of some of the others the situation would not have been so bad. I don't think that he has the ability to sort things out.

If we add Callum Ball it's a full team

Wow !!!
What a load of pessimists !! Come on - look at the positives. Elliott Benyon might start a game and Nathan Craig might even get some playing time ....... :scarf:

He's got cover, he's got cover that's injured. What about this don't you understand? The club has 4 centre backs. That is the maximum any club in our financial position could possibly be expected to have. They're all injured. To suggest otherwise is to suggest that motorists should carry 10 spare wheels, just in case the first 9 and the four originals all puncture on the same journey. It simply isn't oractical, realistically or financially.

Out of interest, did you blame Sir Matt in 1958?

Matt - I was trying a bit of sarcasm re Benyon and Craig. Obviously, it didn't work. ^.^ Of course I realise the seriousness of the situation and there must be a good case for the match to be postponed. Now, if Cyril Knowles was manager, three other players would fall sick with a mystery illness, thus making it impossible to raise a team.

Have to say that I thought your comment about Man Utd in 1958 was sick and uncalled for - sorry.

How long is Pearce out for? I take it he has no chance of returning? Certainly could be a long afternoon if that is indeed the case.

Sorry why would TUFC not do all that is possible to have this game postponed, 3 players missing is surely enough reason on its own

After reading this I might just boycott the game and stay in the white horse all game, with no defence we are screwed

Cpmpletely agree. To not ask for postponement would be plain stupid.

What is our biggest ever defeat by the way?

If we are missing this and the game goes ahead we are in big trouble.

However - even if all those where out (and we do not add anyone else on loan) the Football League could argue we could play (for example)

Rice
Tonge Hutchings Cruise Nico
Azeez Manse Lathrope Chapell
Benyon Hawley

Subs: Cameron, Craig, Sullivan, + 4 kids

Although I am sure a similar (if not stronger!) case could be argued for Scunnys game not to be postponed.

If we had 4 centre backs then Cruise wouldn't be playing there. 18 year old scholars simply do not count. If they did then we wouldn't be scurrying around for loans.
