You made probably the most influential loan signing of Joss Labadie that seemed to galvanize our midfield at a crucial time. He also scored some massive goals to get us out of the s!"t.

Board, listen up.....go and get Knil and Brass, not even Rednapp and Jordan could have done what they have succeeded.

Agreed sign up Knill/Brass, last 3 games we scored 8 goals, thats what can happen when you play 2 up front and have a go, instead of 2 deep,deep lieing midfielders and just hoofing it long in the hope the big man can hold it up for 2 weeks while we wait for someone to cross the half way line.

Say no to turgid, dross boring football.

Also, the signing of Labadie kept us up effectively so immense thanks to both Knill/Brass and also to Joss for without his goals we'd be down.

I'm not sure Knill and Brass would be the answer but i'd be more positive with them in charge than Ling/Taylor no doubts.

both absolute heros, nice to see some passion from the dugout! when we scored brass almost jumped into the popside, that was some celebration! I think that with those two at the helm, we would be competing at the right end of the table next year! thanks for everything, and if the board see sense then we'll be seeing you next season!

clearly the better duo for the job, shame that the board can't see what we all can! the only way that we will get fans through the gates next season is by playing attractive attacking football, something that won't be offered by a Martin ling side!

I think some people are being too hard on Ling. We're too quickly forgetting what he achieved last season. If we can get rid of some of the out of contract dead wood over the summer and let the man get his fingers back in some pies then there's no reason we can't do well again.

To be honest I don't care why he was away. We all know the rumours, but if he's in the right frame of mind to return then he, like everyone, deserves a second chance.

That being said, Knill and Brass were excellent for us and obviously have contacts too. We should keep one eye on where they go from here just in case. Massive congratulations and thanks from me.

What worries me if Ling was to return is the reaction from the fans if we were to lose a few games early on, particularly if the style of football offered remained dull.

I can see a situation where the board are forced into sacking him and a new man comes in having had no say in the assembly of the squad, stuck with Ling's players and the transfer window shut.

Obviously hope this wouldn't happen but the possibility worries me.

The same thing worries me Devon Yellow our club simply can not afford to get the decision wrong.

I agree completely, many fans won't give Ling much time to get it right. Things were getting very difficult mid season, and tempers got very frayed. I believe that it would be in the best interests of the club to change manager now rather than later, but that will require some balls on the part of the Board and a willingness to come to a suitable settlement.

Why would you assume the board can't see this, should that be the case?
