The fact they were only born four weeks apart shows just how much Yeoman has failed to develop so far. Bodin (despite his indifferent form this season) is seen as a good League One/Championship prospect and a regular starter for a League Two side. Yeoman has started a couple games when our squad was decimated and scored two goals from bench appearances.

How long can we keep talking about potential for a player who made his debut for us about 6 years ago?

Totally agree Steve.

I'm more than confident that Billy will far exceed Yeoman in terms of career progression, in spite of his dire season with us.

This is the point though isn't it? Although the established quality of a player should be recognised and taken into account, we should certainly not be selecting players on the basis of their potential, perceived or actual, realised or not, but rather because of their recent form as illustrated in performances on the pitch. So I would start both Bodin and Yeoman, and Jarvis and Benyon.. among others..

I voted to start him, although I don't think he will start.

Jarvis will likely start up front with Benyon as Yeoman has proven to be quite effective coming on as a sub. He seems to be best running at tired defenders late on in the game. Why change something that works and Jarvis covered well for Rene when he was missing last time didn't he?

The dilemma for me, is who to play out wide in place of Jarvis as we've not got any wingers in form at the moment.

Spot on Steve.
Think he will get last 20 minutes to scare the begeezers out of the Rovers full backs.
Great goal yesterday, he will be full of confidences and raring to go.
Would like to see him start more, but think that will be next season.
I see young Danny got off the bench yesterday(first time in ages)...wonder if he will feature on Saturday?

I voted no, I just don't see Yeoman and Jarvis working as a pair. Most likely I think will be Jarvis pushed up front with Stevens coming in on the right.

With Howe out of the game on Saturday, I think there is no other option is there?

But to answer the post, Yes start him and Benyon.

Happy for Jarvis to play up front but this is going to be one physical game and can you really see Danny performing under this situation. Personally I can't, as he has been absent most of the season. Happy to be proved wrong tho!

Great to see Yeoman get his just rewards at Morecambe. He played really well against Wimbledon and Rotherham but seemed to have been forgotten once Knill arrived, until scoring goals in a reserve game watched by Knill and seems to have been back in the fold since then.
I do think however that we need a fresh forward on the bench so on that basis only I would play Jarvis and Benyon up front leaving Yeoman to replace one of them.
Who plays on the wing though is really anyones guess. Knill doesn't rate Stevens,Craig, or Macklin so I have a feeling it might be Morris.

Really don't think Benyon and Yeoman would work. No aerial presence at all there.

I only said Stevens on the wing because he came off the bench on Saturday. Could play anyone there really, they're all as equally without match practice as each other.

If jarvis goes up top then surely Morris will start wide, the other option is craig.

Then tactics are employed that play to their strengths.
