Lets be positive..
or d- fed up of all the negativity towards the team thus trying to be positive and get behind the team rather than constantly lookin for the bad things. in the first half if we scored a half chance we could of went on to win convincingly and then everyone would be saying o were beat Chesterfield 3-1 3-0 etc.
Andy- I get what you mean about niall but all I was saying was in regards to yesterdays performance. on the whole he has proved to be adequate cover but yesterday he was pityful And to deep.

how's it being realistic. on Saturday were playing chesterfield. there not very good this season. no result would surprise me.
Thats the thing Lankyben everyone has an opinion and are entitled to express it including your good self, you ask what the obsession with Nathan Craig is and refer to him as the peoples champion. On the motm thread you voted for Mansell followed by ( it pains me to say it) A number of fans myself included have been highly critical of both full backs, you dont seem to have a problem with people knocking Joe Oastler but anyone dare critize Nicho and you tell them to bore off. Nothing personal against you but I suppose we are all capble of being hypocritical from time to time.
Personaly i am a big fan of Nicho's allways have been, I have no problem what so ever saying that Nicho had a very good game last night however my honest opinion is he has been inconsistant so far, nothing personal in that just me trying to be honest in what I see, nor does it make right.
This professional football there is no room for sentiment it is a result buinsness, Nicho is not getting any younger or quicker and I am sure he is only to well aware of that.
Oh and Chesterfield not very good they have done something in the last 2 months we havn't..thats actually win a game in fact they have won more than 1 game, so what the heck does that say about us. Maybe thats why some are being negative right now.

No worries Ben

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
nobody has covered themselves in glory admittedly but I personally find the hype over Craig on this forum somewhat over bearing. on the popside you so much as query him and people look at you as if you handed them a dead puppy. I feel the centiment over mansell is worse that nicho
but I agree with the majority of points you have Andy and find yourself to be a very knowledgeable man. long live the healthy discussions and positivity

Ben, Chesterfield are a bit of a jekyll and hyde team. They are just as capable of turning us over 4-0 than they are of being d*cked 4-0, they can be vulnerable at the back but they have good attacking options which, given our failure to keep a clean sheet could mean it being a long old afternoon at Plainmoor on saturday. I have seen first hand at what sort of side they are and won't be underestimating them by any means and this game will be as tough as the Exeter one i've no doubt. I'd be happy with another draw all told but i think we will lose sadly.

Cheers for the kind words mate but if you think the first bit you're crazy and the very last word of your post i don't understand what it means. :~D

Seriously, thanks Ben.

I'd be happy with that so long as we score the 7!
It won't happen though unless i had planned to come down for the game and then not been able to go due to illness or something. :~D
I'll never forget that bloody Aldershot game for as long as i live and i wasn't even there!

it should be on dvd. have you thought any more about my suggestion of gettin the Chesterfield supporters coach down?
Completely agree with you on Nathan Craig, there is no doubting his potential however he does look raw and often takes the wrong option, but given time he could well be another O'Kane. But there lies one difference we had experienced players in the squad ahead of O'Kane, Eunan was brought on over a period of time, where as Nathan Craig has some what been thrown into the limelight ahead of his time, same as Nail Thompson.lankyben wrote:nobody has covered themselves in glory admittedly but I personally find the hype over Craig on this forum somewhat over bearing. on the popside you so much as query him and people look at you as if you handed them a dead puppy. When it comes to sentiment thats the thing with football fans we have our favourites some players in the eyes of one group can do no wrong, other players can do no right, Mark Ellis used to bug me. He would often come 20 yrds out of position to head the ball miss it, yet fans would go nuts on Chris Robertson for not getting arcoss in time to cover, when he should never have had to in the first place.
And forgot to say of course you are right, our team is well capable of beating Chesterfield and going on to secure back to back wins, we are all true fans and thats what we all want, the current negativity only reflects how many feel right now. Would not surprised one bit should that happen if the I told so brigade made a swift appearence

Haha, yeah Ben, i have as a matter of fact and it's a no go mate. First of all i'm on childcare duties for the weekend so instead of anticipating another matchday at Plainmoor i'm instead watching f*cking Tinkerbell at the piccies!lankyben wrote:it should be on dvd. have you thought any more about my suggestion of gettin the Chesterfield supporters coach down?

Secondly there will be a couple of fans on there who know me who'll make the 5 hours pure evil!

(I love my kid really and enjoy our activities together

Oh and if any of you say that's racist - it's not.
It IS chav-ist but that's perfectly acceptable in a modern tolerant society.
(Ben , i hope you aren't a chav mate otherwise i'll expect a subaru impreza ( with obligatory blacked out windows ) bombing it's way up the motorways to come and get me! If that's the case, a good kicking will be preferable to a drive around town in it with windows down, music blaring and me being forced to sit upright looking out of the windows. That would almost do me in.
